get a better camera man. That video was crap. Maybe get halfway down the track in the stands and video the runs. Then we can see the times and traps. Great car. I am impressed with the fab work. Good luck tonight if you get there.

Wanted a turbo blanket but I am low on funds after finishing the build. I found this material that we discontinued at work. We used it on the normalizing furnaces which we run over 1700F so I know it will workk. It was A bitch making the template while the turbo was installed. it was even harder to install. I will make a better one over the winter when the turbo is out. This will work for now and the materail seems to work great. The real test will come at the track but right now I brought the cat up to temperature and there was NO heat radiating through the blanket. I need to look up the material specifications. It is a multi layer cloth with a rubber like coating. I painted it with high temp black paint but it doesn't seem to adhere very well.

I think the problem with your blanket is that it's not thick. My blanket you can touch while the it's running and not burn yourself, granted I have a gt70

See how close the turbine is to the balancer? A regular blanket will not work. I feel NO heat coming through this material. It may look thin but it is incredibly dense

Tire shake fucked me out of an 8 second pass on the 9.030 run.
Dragway 42 on a TnT night is just not the place for a car like mine
Best part is thats only 17psi and only 16* of timing, on a 295 drag radial. It has alot left in it.

Very nice!!! Looks great. Ron is a great fabricator. I run one of his manifolds on my GT42 powered Eagle Talon. He really does beautiful work!

Race weight at norwalk the day I threw the rod was #3825

I hope to get #200 out of it this winter. The aluminum block I bought yesterday is a good start

koolrayz, did you have any luck with the specs of this material? any ideas where you could buy this stuff? Just thinking it would be a nice workable alternative to header wrap.

Is there any other matterials that could be used? I have heard great things about these Inconel heat shields, but agian they cost a fortune....
