Damn, that's a nice price.

I tried getting our short (similar turbo placement to APS) f-body headers cast and I was quoted this-

CAD Modelling for tool build - $10,000 USF
Prototype Tools (Mold Plate and corebox) - $18,000 USF per hand (may be able to reduce the cost if we can get a LH and RH on the same tool)
Part prints - $5,000K
Machined parts would be sold at $290 each

Not good enough... This guy's not talking unless you make him... Put his sponsorship on the line as was done with Hi-FLo in the past.

Wait...

*sigh* Why would he care? If he's not even making anything at all for GM guys...

WTH... Why is he even a sponsor then the last eight months? To laugh at us? It sure ain't to help us...

This is becoming pure mockery... At the cost of some good folk's hard-earned money...

I'm in for a motion to remove Peter from the site permanently. They have nothing to give this site and ripped several people off in the process while laughing in our faces.
A little bit more money coming in for tech.com or doing what is right for the entire community?

Thank you very much for your comment.
What turbo would you replace them with? Are there any options to upgrade the turbos, other than LGM? For example, putting a larger intake housing on them with a better bearing and compressor wheel...

have we got any word from any admins if this douche is still gonna be here??? i know its been said numerous times to strip him of his sponsorship and ban him forever. its obvious that nobody is going to get any sort of help from him concerning the issues presented here in this thread. this has gone long enough of us burning him and i believe the best thing to do at this point to help stop the bleeding is to remove this yuppy from everything relating to this website. just my .02

I'd love to use actual GT35Rs on there, and they should fit, right? -> APS Turbo comparison: Z06 35R vs F Car 20G Two GT35s can be had for around the same $2800 as LG's upgrades. The only problem is the Garrett turbine housing would need to be modified to allow exhaust gases to bypass the wheel. My thought is to cut a nice, big hole and drill & tap a hole on either side for some piping. Pardon my ignorance, but what would be the harm in performing such a modification? I'm not touching the exhaust manifold and I'm redoing both downpipes as well, so bolting those back on would be a non-issue. That passenger side waste gate location is just retarded.

jim you guys need to release your kit again. i would order it tomorrow if you did. lol i loved the looks of it. still got pictures saved that i look at from time to time( only thing i would change is run a center intercooler like aps.)

so jim what is your GP on a gt35r twin kit for us f-body guys? 50 sets? i bet you can get people that want them. even if we have to get own our turbos to keep base price of kit down.

Garrett gt35Rs would be sweet for sure. I already bought the msd starter figured to get some extra room anyway although not 100% sure its going to fit without making some adapter according to aps.

The LG upgrades are ok but not BB and not Garrett. Still 70lbs of airflow minue is still lots and has potential for 1400 or so engine hp. More than enough for me especially when combined with my direct port nitrous .
I will just be idling the bigger turbos as only want to have a 1000rwhp max sometimes just on turbo alone but sometimes combined with spray as option. Past 1000rwhp think would feel better with a LSX block build and 6 bolt heads and have to upgrade my fuel system more.
But 1000rwhp is nuts power anyway.

Not sure what you don't like about the downpipes on the aps standard kit Greg.
Only think I am not crazy about is you have to pull starter to change out o2s. Although was just going to put 02 in back bung which isn't used and might not even require an 02 extension.
It can be hard to change out the springs in the gates it looks like with 4l80e swaps like I am doing. I was thinking to put in 10psi min spring in there but since will be getting the upgraded likely LG turbos better to have maybe 7.5 springs and then should be able to get to 15psi or so tops. But it might take 10psi to be able to get to 20psi .Usually you can get to about double the gate springs. And having biggger min springs defeatst the purpose a bit of being able to ramp in the boost by rpm ,time or gear.

think peter mentions bb turbos in post 22. imo this is about the same time when aps started to "melt down" and not answer questions directly

LOL I wonder why?
I really hope they make one for the new camaro LOL I mean,,,I hope they make thousands of kits for the new camaro LOL because they'll see from there lack of sales that the word has all ready spread like a wild fire about them and there kits (TURBO'S) just like it did with the INCON TT kit that was a bad *** kit by the way, and had no problems like our APS did (LOL) APS really screwed themselves when they tryed saving money with these BULLSHIT turbos that came with our kits and a drainage desighn that sucked even more! I wish i wouldnt have sold my INCON TT for this APS!!

I had one of Jim's GT35r kits.....great kit...ran 9.2 at 146mph at 3800lbs....only 18psi.....had 8 second potential if pushed.

Lol, I would love to. The fixtures are just sitting up in my garage attic.

Problem is I think with a manifold with that short of a runner the only way to reliably make it is to have it cast. The manifolds I built had cracking issues which is why we stopped making them.

If I could get ahold of f-body APS manifolds they could probably be re-machined for a standard T3 5-bolt exhaust housing then everything else in my system would work with it.

You F-Body guys have it easy. The C5 kit requires the passenger manifold/downpipe to be dropped to change the O2 because you simply can't access the plug!
