So what is the new to do list before you are out and about with it?
Or have you been already?
i haven't driven mine last few days it turned way cold and rainy. Like 40s out there now. Few days ago we were like setting new records for like 90..! yeah 90 not a typo!
What extremes of temp we get. Course turbos do like it colder ,traction is not the best though in the colder temps.
I still have the final big modfest to do on my car but hate to put it down when its driveable. I am also getting a surging type of problem now. It could be tuning but think it might be turbos. Did you get a surging when the aps started to die? I think my boost is becoming erratic. Oh well the new LGS are in the box sitting there waiting patentiently for me and mechanic buddy to put them in.And might as well do bunch of other stuff when doing those.
Put on front sway with some spacers.Do some prettier trans cooler lines, mount and hook up the boost solenoids, install the new strange front shocks and springs and run the alc injection lines. If get another rainy cold week think will do the above stuff and get it over with.
Then can kick back as everything else will be little pretty easy stuff.
So anyway not to hijack your thread Tom buddy looking forward to hearing how your new LGS rock the house and how that engine of yours is, sure this time is the charm.

All of the LS1 head bolts are blind tapped. Make sure you blow any water/oil out of the bolt holes before bolting the heads on because it will crack the block.
So hoping you cleaned out the bolt holes.
You sometimes need sealant on the rocker arms they protrude into water jacket.
But at least that would be an easy fix compared to the cracked block problem.
Here's hoping its nothing Tom. you have had enough bad luck I would say.
Obviously not likely to be head gasket ,cracked head would be rare and cracked block well as said above ,its pretty easy to do on the ls1 engines if guys aren't careful.

i need to put my exhaust on the car still, because the wideband is to close to the open and its messing with my AFR readings. looking in to making a new exhaust with v-bands for easy install and removal. i have a 4inch over axle mufflex system that im going to try out. in years pass i only had a 4inch staight pipe lol
but besides that i can start tunning it it going to need alot of fuel by the looks of things. its going to be alot of work in it self to tune this thing

Ok but how does it feel with the new engine and turbos.? Engine sounding good?
You are driving it around a bit? You don't sound excited!
I have my exhaust with stainless band clamps think they are called. Can take it apart easily. I just have aps to hooker ypipe then to my corsa catback. Going to add cutout back in there just single cutout in intermediate under passenger seat area. Dual exhaust would be nice but not a huge deal to me.But expect it to pick up pretty good power with the cutout open.
Our weather is awful here last whle, cold and rain. Last night said screw it and took 99 for short drive. The toyo tq worked pretty good in the rain but didn't take it up to that high a speeds mostly around town driving. They are better than et streets though. Keeping those in garage for nice weather days and track playing.
