a stock plug is something like 1.100 the callies was .950
so as along as the plug is deeper than 1.1 it should be fine

well here is my update for the day
we got it al back together. it turns over alot better than before, its not draging like last time. it sound alot happer when you crank it.

so moving on to the "no spark". start using a flow chart and going over every little thing
with a scan tool i can see that the pcm is not picking up the cam sensor. i was told it should start without it but im going to get it working frist and than move on from there.
unless anyone has any more ideas about this let me know

right now i have aldata and a mac scan tool that im using to help me figure this out

I had problem with my cam sensor. Somehow messed up my connector when did my 408 swap.tach would stop working and car would run a bit weird, start slower, but it does start and run with the cam sensor dead. Crank sensor will cause a no start.
But you said its working ,there is crank relearn procedure not sure if that has anything to do with your current problems. So you are saying you aren't getting spark?

No blown fuses ? No something not reconnected when you did the swap?

Also Tom did you buy bigger injectors for the bigger turbos? Or are you going to keep the boost down for a bit.? You need 80s for sure or bigger on there I would think.

A S-load of those short-extension harnesses on the LS2 to use the LS1 plug seem to have some wires swapped, or at least NEED to. Verify your factory plug wiring and compare to the sensor and your harness. I bet two of the terminals need to be pulled out and swapped.

No it will start with the cam sensor but it will start more slowly and may pop or backfire during cranking as it tries to establish itself with just the CPS during startup. You will have no tach signal output on the PCM without it.

So any more news Tom? I hope I don't have problems doing opposite thing. I think my mechanic buddy said we have to take out pilot bearing so the converter goes into the crank but do I need to use some spacer ? Mine is 6.0 iron block not ls2? If do then have a few weeks to order it. Don't want any problems.

I took one last drive with my car as an m6 today. Then mechanic buddy came over and tore it apart. Just bellhousing and clutch to take out and master. Buddy is all hyper to put it in his car. We don't have the luxury of overhead this is all done the old way in the garage on jack stands.

So hurry up and get that car of yours running..

No codes thrown? You can check things with hptuners scanner maybe in more detail. It helped me figure out my camsensor problem. But as frost said car runs with cam sensor even complete failure just slower to start and think runs rich and tach goes dead.
Crank sensor messes things up bad.
You are sure computer plugs are in tight not sure if you took them out of computer during the recent swap. You can maybe try a different crank sensor they are pretty cheap I think. And you said you are swapping harnesses shortly?
