You could have an alignment problem or the F-1R could possibly be causing the bracket and blower to flex under hard acceleration. The easiest way to check to see if there is bracket flex is to put the car on a loaded style (eddy current) of chassis dyno and watch the blower during acceleration and decel. If you detect flex you'll have to figure out how to add some bracket supports. We ran into this problem at the old shop on the 4th gen f bodys when we started experimenting on adding a cog set-up, as an F-1R puts quite a load on the bracket. Bob

Deff lot of info here, glad I started it, lol. I wonder why nobody made a cog belt system that is just as wide as a 8-rib belt so u can use the same spacers as the 8-rib stuff n just need to swap out pullys? There's a car in my town that was Cuttin made by Troy@radrides (tv show) that has a 468 BBC with a f2 on it with a cog belt that was no wider then a reg 8-rib belt.

Here's a BIG reason why blowers/superchargers are and always will produce more linear power under the curve then turbos

^ Are you running all the motors fuel through the blower, or are you also injecting some into the runners?

I have been interested in this 'flipdrive' for a F-Body application so a bigger Procharger (F1R) can be run without any belt slip, any other pics of the set-up (different angles)? With your D1 I am sure you would be fine with the 8 rib, but I thought there was a 10-rib set up out there.

Centrifugal type blowers seem to always give more power as well as a smoother power delivery instead of max torque kicking in at 2000RPM.
that system is gone, the manifold was waaaaaaay to shallow and it caused a **** ton of problems, even thier new manifold was ((which was a bit higher) was too shallow. airflow was teriible.

they have discontinued it.

Prochargers eat belts... kinda a fact of life, but if its eating cogs then the alignment is off.
I dont know why some many are hung up on d-1s on this forum. IMO the d-1 is a waste. Not much better than a v2sq yet more expensive and way less potential than an f-1.

Twin screws are fun, thats about it. They arn't nearly as good for street strip as a turbo or a centri. Turbo>Centri>Twin screw (all else being equal - which it is not). Of course all can be fast, getting it dialed in is key. Which blower you want is TOTALLY dependent upon what you want out of the car, street - strip or track. One will NOT be the best as all three. Any of them if setup smart can be pretty damn close but of course on the internet we deal in absolutes . Centri is the easiest to work with. Twins fall flat on their face in the upper band... yah yah we can all read a dyno graph, but Ive been in several whipples and they get walked on the big end. Twins are great for road race - mid band is where they shine, bare in mind you need satan's intercooler system, but they are awesome and mostly because they are extremely forgiving of driver error and very very very reliable if the are not over spun (hence their use in production cars) Centri is probably the best for the average street car, mostly because its easy to hook up with. Also remember when reading comparison BS youll just about never be under 3k rpm. IMO vortech is a better unit than the procharger, but the only two worth messing with are the v1/v2 and the ysi. I have had bad luck with ps1c and seals. A friend as an f1-R (non self contained) and its a great blower. if you buy procharger imo you should buy the non-self contained versions and they are just as good as vortech. Also I would suggest you have your car setup to pull spark and not fuel on the limiter - seems like a given but you might be surprised...

out of left field comes Fobra! I agree with pretty much everything you said besides the d1sc being a waste. IF SET-UP RIGHT as mentioned they can run mid to low 9's (just like anything else i know) but to say its a waste is b.s. People tend to "over blower" there car, just like everyone wants the biggest cam in there car. Just because its bigger doesnt mean its gonna be faster...remeber you said it has to be set-up right?

What kinda power adder you have anyways? Post up some pics, or is this the classic internet arguing case of "my buddys dads friends brother has a rock who had a pet dog who had a blower and it sucks"?

X2 taubr unit! Who the hell is this guy?! This is called the procharger thread and quite coincidentally there are a lot of procharged cars. Do a little more research...oh and visit the fastest cars list...if it has a blower, most are procharged. Your information seems to be a little mixed up. The vortech blowers flow quite a bit less CFM. To find a comparable blower to even the D1SC, you need to look over 3/4th's down vortechs blower page to a V7 or some **** like that. Vortech cars are fine IMO...just don't try to compare apples to oranges..IMO the only vortech blower worth a dam is the YSI and both the "trims" only flow 1600 CFM. This is a bad "debate" to go into lol
