Aster's bracket is phenominal. It was the best decision I made when I was piecing my setup together. I like the fact that you don't have to put a crazy amount of tension on the belt in order to keep it from slipping. I worried that the added tension would have a negative impact on the loads placed on the crank and mains.

Be sure and post up a pic of how you registered your supercharger crank pulley on your balancer. I was unable to find anyone (ATI, Innovators West) that had a balancer to suit this need on a LS engine. My 50MM Procharger crank pulley was flat faced and there was no pilot on the common F-Body supercharger balancer from ATI to work with. I had to make something to register the pulley to the ATI balancer, although I went with a 917777 SBC/LS style ATI balancer.

No I haven't. I've e-mailed Dan several times, I'll have to give him a call. Bob

You guys have any suggestions to why I have lost 2-3psi. It dynoed last year at a little over 15psi. I take it back to get it retuned and change to a speed density tune (this during August with a 100+ temps. The second go around only saw like 11-12 psi. This is really gettin to me haha, now Im thinking about doing a truck manifold setup with an 88.

The first thing I would check for is belt slippage, do you have any black dust on the blower housing?

Next is the air filter clean? A dirty air filter can reduce boost by several psi.

If you still haven't found the problem I'd start checking for a boost leak, I'd check all the tubing to hose connections first, since you have made more boost in the past. It could also be a hole in the intercooler(s) or a faulty bypass valve.

It sounds like you don't have a boost gauge in the car, I'd install one so that you can troubleshoot your combination. You can even temporarily install a boost gauge out on the cowl by taping it to your windshield wiper, if you don't want a permanent installation. Bob

I take it your Procharger pulley you got for the crank has a flat face on it and your F-Body ATI balancer has a .100" or so step on it about 4" out in diameter?

If you do, you either need to machine your s/c crank pulley to match the step in the ATI balancer like your SDCE lower pulley was, or build a pilot slug that fits snug into your balancer snout and fits snug (on the other end) into your s/c crank pulley inside diameter. You DO NOT want to rely on the bolts to register the s/c pulley center. That would would equal a fail.

This is the area where, IMO, Dan needs to finish the kit offering so it is a true bolt on.

You need to find a quality machine shop in your area to do this. ATI will not be able to help.
