wiring the pump backwards just made me pull my hair out for a minute or two

another thing you can do if you have welder is to cut the fitting off and weld the line up to make it a plug, looks kinda crude but you dont have to worry about it leaking.

I was thinking of something like that...
but i found out that it is a 1/4" NPT fitting

More pics and details on your ALT relocation? I need to relocate mine but it has to be as low as possible. Yours looks pretty low and simple to do.
Thx.

These are about all the pictures i have of it...
What i did was cut away the lower tensioner mounting hole on the water pump for it to sit lower.

Then after that i took some .125 mild steel plate that i had sitting around and drilled a couple of holes to mount it on the passenger side head.

After i mounted the alt in the upper tensioner bolt hole i rotated it to see where it would line up at to drill the other hole in the plate to mount the second hole for the alt.

To make it also fit that close to the head i had to take off the plastic backing from the alt and shorten the bolt that mounts the alts main power connection.
That was about it... it was quick and simple
the alignment of the pulleys are good also

That alt bracket is a nice low cost option. I know an 1/8th of an inch isn't much, but I would trim it down a little in the middle to make getting to the alternator wiring a little easier. Sometimes that little bit is all that matters.

I cant wait for it to warm up to do some tuning and get some videos of the beast in action

"I am having issues with this. what kind of flange is that? where can i find something to fit with that?"

Concerning the V-Band on the H2C. I had the same problem on my H2D. I tried many different clamps before taking the turbo to a diesel shop. We sat there and tried a bunch of clamps until we found one that "fit" close enough. Good luck on a perfect match.

Nice build!

Thanks,
it was tough but i found a flange and a sorta good working clamp...
i found a flared end online that fit the exhaust flange of my turbo, it is flared 20* from vertical and it matched up perfectly
for the clamp my g/f dad got me a clamp from his bus garage that fits on the international school buses and it works great, it just has about a 1.5" gap between the ends of the clamp

Found a H2C compressor map.

It shows 675-700 peak CFM, which puts it right next to a HX35 for the most part Great thing is that nice bump in the map at 10psi, which should give you 60-65% eff. at 10psi.

I have 3 of those 351's (good for another 100cfm peak flow) on my floor here, I would LOVE to do a side by side comparison between yours and one of mine.

from what i have calculated...
I figured NA at 6000 rpms i push about 601 CFM
then figuring out the pressure ratio i have about a 1.68
using those two pieces of info and reading it off the H2C map that puts me about 67% efficient with that turbo
as long as it is above 60% it will work lol

Good news is there are most likely "big h2c"s and "small h2c"s, and you most likely have a "big" one, this compressor map above is most likely for a "small" h2c. The H2C turbo tech is 30 years old, big or small lol, so if its not weak, its just OLD. Select HX turbos (late model HX35, HX30, pro HX40, HX52, others I dont know about) and the entire HExxx line are going to be part of some new engineering techniques that give you wider and higher efficiency islands, as well as more flow per compressor wheel size (due to tuned wheel height, aka BW extended tip design)

This is in a strange mass air unit, but you can "basically" add a 0 to the end and result in CFM.

Can you give me the size's on that oil drain back in the front cover. Bear in mind i have no idea what the size's mean, but i will figure it out! Nice work, also who sell the pipes for the exh manifolds that run to turbo?

From the turbo i have a adapter that bolts on that is 3/8 NPT to -10AN for the hose. Then for the front cover i bought a 90* russels fitting that is 3/8" NPT that threads into the front cover to -10 for the hose

I went to summit racing for U-bends to cut up and weld together to make my merge from the exh manifolds to the turbo.
