Got it running pretty smooth. I ran over some of the base tune and fixed a few things that were making it rich (92% IDC at idle is bad right?). Fluids are topped up and I cant really find much else that is holding us up other than the exhaust is still VERY leaky, and it does scare me a bit trusting the wideband at all (wasnt even reading maxed rich when the injectors were wide open).
Other than that, it now has voltage, very few if any boost leaks, a working boost gauge. I want to test the dual fuel pump setup, and get the exhaust leaks fixed before any tuning is done. Fuel pressure is set fairly low in hopes of erroring on the side of lean for awhile here but when the boost starts coming into play, It will get turned up.

this saturday i plan on it being tuned somewhat in a good driveable area and doing some boosted runs! cant wait!
hopefully i'll get a vid of er' for ya

Tuned it today.
Was REALLY off (never tuned a 98 SD before), but I got it locked in after a few flashes to 14's most of the time, and a random 16-16.5 in some cells (ran out of time to fix those). the part throttle still needs a bit more work, but it is errored on the lean side, so it is not a big deal overall.
Wot was pretty clean. 11.5-11.9 afrs after just 1 flash, and about 17 degrees of timing (got the timing on the base tune, yay!). A blip of KR in tip-in, but it was also during a downshift... no KR at all in boost! I fixed the afrs so they went steady 11.5 after just 1 flash.
Held about 7-7.5psi, wastegate spikes a bit to 8.5psi, but that is to be expected with a garbage OBX gate I suppose.
Trans was being a bastard in 2nd gear, but 3rd was fine enough to tune in, so I will leave him to sort that out.
Ah, forgot to look at LB/m, but I would imagine that it was flowing pretty good amounts of air, because I was seeing about 65% IDC, and fuel pressure was holding... So I would guess we were in the mid 50lb/m area!

but that 3rd gear pull from 80 on was a riot!!!
from the results from yesterday i am happy that it makes boost and all but it is still far from a good driveable car... the belt still wants to walk off and my exhaust hangs down tooooooo low and it hits the smallest imperfection on the road. my fuel gauge isnt working now and i am going to spend most of the next weekends fixing these issues and hopefully it will be good after all this...
o yeah and some how i am getting low oil pressue!!! it hangs around 20psi all the time... when i rev it a little it will jump to about 30psi, its scaring me

I have updates from last weekend but no videos yet...![Sad](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_sad.gif)
its back up on jack stands redoing the exhaust and my trans pan is leaking from the drain i have my trans temp sensor installed at and i also have to fix a minor oil leak comming from my turbos oil drain.
correct.
Thats what i was fearing. when ever i plan on digging back into it i plan on doing a ported and shimmed pump also

update... redid the exhaust to tuck under a little better and not drag on the ground. fixed my oil drain leak, fuel leak and trans leak... also fixed my fuel gauge issue, it was getting caught on the 2nd fuel pumps feed line.
i am still waiting on my Sonnax HD 2-3 shift valve to be able to put the pan back on and be done.
redid some welding on my roll bar and painted it gunmetal.
Also... i ordered a UMI body mount tq arm and ordered a daytona pinion support for my 9" build up...
next weekend it will be time for some more tunning if weather allows and finally get some video clips of errr!
