2010 base 4.8 truck 2wd mpt76q trim build

figured it out!
here is the update my friend wrote, copy and pasted.
update:
got the trans in this weekend. ended up modding stock trans mount to make it offset (redrilled holes), and using the stock trans crossmember by just cutting the slit longer. It just fit, I got lucky and did not have to weld an extension plate.
the valvebody i put in actually shifts automatically also if I leave it in 3rd. I didn't hook up the th400 full throttle kickdown solenoid as I don't want it to kickdown. It will kickdown or up as needed from governor weights installed. I can also manually shift and hold any gear I want. The th400 does not use a kickdown cable for those of you wondering. I also used the stock dipstick tube from a 1977 or so truck.
I put a 4000 converter from henry's big block truck.. in the truck, its a little big (more than advertised 4,000rpm) with the stock 30" tire and 3.42 gears along with me heavier weight than a 90 1500 it came out of.
Im probably gonna put 3.73's or 4.10 gears in the truck because it will spool the turbo fine because of its weight and I am never gonna go 150 in 3rd.
One funny thing about the swap is that the truck did not crank. Skalor told me they should be all grounds on the trans harness if the wiring was a higher guage. I ended up finding a ground on the stock trans harness, and jumping it with a paper clip to each pin until i found neutral safety. Fired right up.
I actually started the truck with the stock trans on the ground and plugged in lol for testing purposes.
I changed the wastegate spring and cranked the boost controller to make 12psi. I'd like to run around 14psi all said and done.
The trans I put in was manufactured in 1976, and did have alot of **** in the pan, I threw it in anyway and it seems fine. It is a short tail th400, and I had to get a custom driveshaft made 4" longer than stock. I got a thicker wall stock diamater (3.5") driveshaft made by east penn trucking (sheichlers or whatever). Cost was 250 with new 1350 u joints on each end.
Overall Im pretty happy with everything to start with a stock th400 that is towards the end of its life.

sorry for the hi jack
I and in the process of building a 6.0l with a 4.8l crank and a 6.300 rod in it
I am going to put a large frame 88mm turbo with a 1.0 a/r on it
So I was wondering what the spool up like on the 76
when does it start making boost

What was the 1/8 mile time. My truck ran a 12.60 @ 104 with a 1.70 60ft.
BTW congrats You should be the fastest 4.8 NNBS truck right now. I couldn't find one faster than mine until yours. lol
