The cog bracket is a little different and yes I did come to a semi-conclusion lol. I spoke to a welder at work (30+ years) and needless to say hes an expert. He said theres a special rod to use and the block needs to be very clean. He also said to pre-heat the block to keep the expansion to a minimal when the welding starts. I just need to convince him to do the work for some $$$. I'm going to have the machinists cut a piece of plate steel probably 1/8th" thick and weld it in. Hopefully it works. I then want to take a deep nut and weld it onto the plate to thread both the top alt. only bolt and the top j-bracket. That'll give me 4 places of contact and should stop most of the bracket flex....2 just wasn't gonna cut it and if I can go 4 over 3 why not?

Yeah M6 car. I think I have it set at 62 on the regulator. Took it to the track Saturday night. It was loving the cold air to much. AFR was in the high 12:7-13:0 range and I cant add fuel cause im pushing on my injectors already. Freakin sucks cause the DA was like 100. Ran a 6.74 @ 101 in the 1/8 and cut a 1.47 60' on my second pass and this is on a new tune (not even using my 2 step either). Its an alright time considering I was making waffles during my shifts. Car should run alot quicker once I get it dialed in and tweak the tune at the track. I wanna go auto bad to see what she'll really run.

LS1redZ, which track did you go to? They still have that one local in Waco, or did you have to go out to Ennis or something? I lived in Waco many years back. Only track Ive seen so far that would let people run with spare tires for skinnies up front and not care. What tech inspection? lol

Bump. I had a buddy at work weld that plate on that I was talking about. I dont think I've been that nervous in awhile lol. It did come out awesome. I need to grind the welds down a little bit to smooth them over and she'll be ready. I'll post pictures as soon as their done loading. Also, trust I have some viper pics from sema you should look at. I'll post them up in here or in your thread.

Ok so heres the pics. The game plan is to clean up the welds so the gasket surfaces seal up nice. I'll then mock up the blower bracket and weld 2 nuts onto the plate and thread my alt. bolt and the top j-bracket bolt in.

I was going to say the same thing. Me and Blackrifle have the Magnafuel FPR. We both like it alot. And yeah, I would probably go with some 80#er's. I got 60#'s to my dismay. Going to have to swap them out, especially If I want to do this E85 idea. Which i REALLY want to.

I hear the bigger high impedance Inj's have tuneability issues down low. A lot of guys suggest getting the driver box and some low impedance injectors. I think I'm going to get high imp 80's. They should take me where I wanna go on the F1.

Yeah I got to thinking about it more and more. I think the 80s will be sufficient enough for now even if I go with an F1A sometime. Do you have any idea what kind of power level the 80s will support? 9-1000rwhp?
