I've been looking at these 390's and they make great sense. I'm just wondering what the walls sonic test to on the LQ9 and LS2/3 after the 4.030 bore is done. What do they typically measure at?

LQ4/9 block 4.030" I see .160" at minimum, around .220" on thrust section, LQ4/9 block 4.080" sonic checked .135" minimum wall thickness.
We do have 4.005" pistons in 390 style configuration. 385ci, mainly used for LS2 builds.

Questions regarding the stroker kit...
1. What would my compression ratio be with stock 317s and .051" gasket with just a clean-up pass on the block and heads(just to ensure straightness)?
2. Are the rings already gapped?
I will run it as a N/A setup while I gather all my turbo parts, because let's face it trurbos are expensive. Your kit is right up my alley as far as pricing goes bc I looked at replacing rods, pistons and running the stock crank and it was damn near the same price as your stroker kit without any machine work. I will be ready to order mine in June or July so it will be waiting for me when I get back from Afghanistan.

Has anyone used an f2 on any of the 390s? Reason I ask is because a friend of mine is selling his plus goodies. I was planning on 390 turbo but this deal would save me about 1900 bucks or so. But What do you all think?

Our 410 LSX engine would be a better candidate for that combination. F2 blower is rated to 1,600hp, well beyond the capabilities of a 6.0 factory block, no matter how well someone builds it. I wouldn't look at saving money, it will be paid back overtime if you don't use the right parts with an F2.
