Are the rings already gapped? Or are they file fit?

The rings are file fit, and are gapped per application.

If you purchased pistons only, rings suppled they're file fit, need the gap opened up couple thou.

When comparing the Original 390ci Kit and the New 390ci Kit, one has the 3.825 crank and the new kit has the 3.380 crank. What is different in the kit to offset the 0.025 Extra Stroke, Piston Comp Height or Rod Length ?

Not .025, 1/2 of that .0125"

stroke goes in both directions, to make a 4.000 stroke, the rod journal is 2" apart from the main journal.

Im sure he will tell you they dont see a problem till over 1000hp. I will tell you what i did for strength and to avoid pushing water. Dragon slayer crank, ultra rods, no pins for the mains, O-ring block-receiver the heads, Clark Copper head gaskets. I dont think i will have any problems with 1100 hp.

If my set up was going to spend it's life at 1000+ i would have went with the LSX combo. In reality i will be at 800-900 hp.

Like the others covered, I don't think pinning mains with stock caps is worth it for 6.0 iron block. At the level you would need them, chances are you would be exceeding the cylinder head clamping of 4 bolt heads. I'm sure you could fill the block, pin caps (or billet caps), 1/2" head studs, O ring/copper gaskets. The extra cost on those you could've bought an LSX block.

The fix, LSX block. Siamese bores, billet caps, etc.
