Looks like a proflo with a shortened plenum(long wise) Looks like the back cylinders would benefit even more with positive pressure coming in and straight down the rears.....IMO

He is most certainly right it is a High Hp intake and it is very tall. The intake is 8 inches without the hat and 14 inches with. The longer runners and equal runner length is why its suppose to not effect the low end like the typical single plane carb style intake. But it also does not come with the typical carb intake price. I bought mine used with hat and rails for $1600.00

Here is a graph of it on a built ls7 na setup. {ENGINE DYNO}
Is this a 427 or a 451?

I'm not a liberty to say who is making it.

We are machining the castings and doing the distribution for them.

We are also doing the testing

When can we expect to see some numbers? Testing, and pricing? I just picked up a Vic Jr setup, but am always lookingfor something better.

That's ALOT of cubes for the average FI guy. Is that an "out-of-the-box" intake or the one that you pictured?

With boost ? I'd say it will still produce excellent results.

I see what you are saying about some areas, and I guess it's hard to argue with that. But intakes need to be tested in the manner they will be used.
Before there is boost, there is NA. What I mean is that you have to make NA power to get the turbine spinning to make boost. When you are dealing with a drag race situation, you have to be able to build boost on the line or you will never ET well.

Add the magic of a torque converter and it starts to get complicated because the converter stalls different at different power levels. That means that when you get on your tbrake with no boost, the converter has to be loose enough to get up to where you build boost but yet tight enough to where it wont blow thru up top under boost. So the intake/head combo need to be able to make enough torque to get you up on the tbrake/2step to where it will build the boost that you need fast enough to launch when the tree drops. There are ways around this but you start adding layers of complication. Nitrous can be used to get you over the hump and there are mods like variable stall control which regulate the pressure at launch making a tight converter feel loose on the tbrake. That kind of stuff should really only be used to run monster turbos on smallish cubes and not so much to compensate for a poorly pieced together combo.
