I was told that the stainless is more prone to cracking because it doesn't expand and contract as well as mild steel.

2.5" is a bit big for your combo and 3" is a bit small. Work looks good though. 2.5" will easily handle 2000-2400hp, while 3" will support 400-450hp. I would have gone smaller on the crossover and bigger on the downpipe. I would have liked to see 2" on the crossover and 3.5" on the downpipe for your setup.

I was told by numerous peole my setup would work fine for my goal of 500-550 hp. Do you think I should change it. I dont really want to.

Working and Working efficiently are 2 different things. We run 2.5" crossover on setups that make 4x that horsepower. The pre-turbo tubing should be sized for velocity and the post turbo should be sized for flow. Will it work, yes.... Can you make small changes and make boost faster, absolutely.

you're not building a race car with a giant turbo, i think the crossover is fine. i cant find any of the info on your build (i did now, but i had to dig... YOU STILL DONT HAVE A BUILD THREAD!)

so a t70/ls1 - it'll spool FINE. its not like you're running a 98mm thumper or something. i'd personally go with at least a 3.5 inch DP though. the downpipe should be (appx, from what i've read) 1.25x larger than the outlet of the turbo.

You dont need a race car or a big turbo to see a difference, Tracy saw about a 500-700rpm difference in spool going from 2.5 to the 2" pipes soo much of a difference he could run a larger turbine housing and still sees more boost faster.
