370, Garrett GT55-94, truck manifolds build thread. ***UPDATE 12-10***

That kit is cool, they also sell the kit that mounts where the alternator goes, but it requires the use of a super small *** alternator. Didnt really want to spend 200 on a bracket to hold my alternator. Or 220 on a new alternator. BUT if i did i would need to be positive that I wouldnt have any charging problems using that 55 amp alternator.

Nice build!
I think you will be fine running the ethanol and no intercooler. I might suggest trying to find e98 in barrels. I get it for the same price as pump and I know what I am getting that way. the meth kit would be a waste with this setup. I think you will be sorry if you go to a smaller alternator. These cars draw a lot more than you realize. I have a clamp on dc amp meter and it really opened my eye's. I highly recomend a large overflow (one gallon) mounted in the rear of the car for the radiator. with the heads you are using and the power that turbo will make you will be pushing water.

Every car is different and as stated a good tuneup is going to extend the envelope.
You're going to laugh but I used a one gallon gas can last year for my overflow.
with the nozzle inverted I shoved the hose in the can. After it pushed the water I would just take the can to the front of the vehicle and refilled the cooling system.

Got my crossover figured out this weekend, was a pain in my *****, but its done now. Got my 12 bolt back from Burkheart, as well as picked up a manual steering race, and afcos for all 4 corners. Going to put the rear back in next weekend, and check the length of my driveshaft. I got a guy here that can extend it for me since its for a 4l60e/12 bolt. and im running a glide. Once thats done, I can mount my tranny cooler, then the motor will be ready to go back out, and the new one in.

Been busy, but have made some good progress. Got my driveshaft extended by Hall Bros. (the guys who drive Ramminator monster truck) Got the rearend back in and all four corners have AFCO double adjustables. Getting the frontend back together, and ready for my motor. Some pictures are following.
Also did some wiring ****. I made it so all the wires crossing the front of the engine bay are hidden inside my radiator support bar.

Subscribing! I didn't realize you had a build thread. This thing is gonna be way outside the box from a lot of what i've seen/read up on. Should be a Monster!! I pm'd you a few weeks ago about some afco's if you recall but you already got some. Can't wait to see your car on the street and can't wait to get my car in and out of mwc so i can get the turbo setup going too!!

What amuses me is Ray, Phil, VA Speed, and Josh people that know their **** never questioned the setup. However tweedle dee and tweedle dumbass forum member starts voicing their opinion. I wished people without first hand experience would step away from the keyboard. What cam did you end up with

EPP FI cam. I had a lot of good dudes tell me that it was a solid all around camshaft, and I wouldn't be disappointing with it. Have 2 friends with it in their car, both completely different and they both make good power, and are happy with it. My setup isnt all that fancy, 370, 317s, 9.5:1, its been done a thousand times. Well see how she works soon enough.
