Default Will I be maxing out my stock ls1 maf?

Hey guys I have read a lot of different views on the stock maf for boosted applications and hoping to be told straight. I have read that 500whp is about the limit for the stock ls1 maf and beyond that you need to scale out your fuel map or switch to speed density. I will be putting 8 psi through a 100% stock ls1, will my maf be ok or is there any maf's that would work better for now? I will most likely be using hptuners for tuning needs at this time. What kind of numbers would 8psi give me? Next year the engine will be getting overhauled and setup for more boost so I am not overly concerned with making huge power this year but I would like a decent moving car.

You can do it just fine. You'll make much better power with SD tuning though. So you will be leaving a lot on the table.

Alright cool, am I safe thinking 8 psi will be below that mark? I want to run 10psi but am not sure if that will get me above 500 and beyond the maf's operating level.

You can get 800rwhp easilly enough with a stock MAF. Not a big deal,we use to tune with stock MAF's all the time before the current software came out.

What makes it safe and accurate with the stock MAF is setting up the VE table, injector scale tables correctly. I ussually don't push SD will you are over 650rwhp or are a turbo with a controller on it.

So I should be perfectly fine running with hptuners, 255pump, 60# injectors, 8 (maybe 10psi) and the stock maf?

Ditto what Slowhawk said. As long as you adjust the VE (or PE, whatever floats your boat) you can run the stock MAF up to some crazy power levels.

IMO, maxing the stock MAF only gets dicey if you are using a quick spooling setup, because boost can vary so much from RPM. If you are using a centripital, then I wouldn't even worry about it unless you are just looking for the throttle response from SD.
