Default bulk head or weld opn bung for oil drain from turbo on aluminum f-body pan?

i have my oil return hole pretty close to the rail of my oil pan and im worried a weld on bung might not be able to be welded all the way around....

is any one using a bulk head fuel cell style fitting for the oil drain on a factory cast aluminum pan?
will this hold tight and not leak?

its a -10an male fitting...

kinda ghetto, but i tapped the pan and threaded a brass fitting into the pan. then i epoxied both sides of it to make sure it didnt leak. No problems at all after 5000+ miles

I also drilled and tapped the hole and put a copper crush washer in between the fitting and the pan. Not a single drip!

Not ghetto at all.... the pan is well thick enough to tap... 1/2 NPT would be fine.
I stuck mine in between the oil pan ribs/gussets whatever you wanna call them...looked like a spot made for it.. I Welded it though because I had the pan off anyways, and I had the weld fitting.
