Good luck to you OP and can't wait to see the finished product!!!

If he sets up the head gasket correctly, o-ring + copper + right head studs + good heads + stiff motor.... we have ran 45psi and not pushed a drop of coolant. We went 164.xmph to the 1/8 mile with A/F 10.3:1 out the back door.

Thats a lot of PSI! Well our internals are very stout. So as long as the gaskets stay sealed we should make some pretty good power.

ive just been running a similar for 3 years now, around 24psi it pushes some water, at 900rwhp the mains were walking a little, hardblock amd larger main studs fixed that issue. iron block with double orings with copper gaskets torqued to 100lbs with larger studs helped. to say it will no push a drop at 30psi is a little premature.

pin the mains, and hardblock it to the water pump holes.

wish you guys the best of luck! i want ethanol!!!

i chose to put my money into block and heads because thats what gave me trouble in the past. everybody has their own approach and invests in their own concerns

i had to / wanted to work with a small cam, low revs, heavy car, small (these days) turbo, and random octane levels. eliminating these makes life easier on the engine

no sense in comparing budgets because there is give and take all over the place, and way to high anyways lol. is there going to be less money in this car than mine.. nope

is this car gonna be in kentucky or at the shootout?

Thanks MM!

We will just have to wait it out and see how it all pans out.

Yes, we will be at most of the NMCA races including Holley Fest and Shoot out. It will be nice to meet you there.

Well spent money too if I may add, but if I had my block, heads, set-up already sitting at my feet, I wouldn't change it for the world until I at least saw how it ran. It just seems like it's a reoccurring, thing, make 900-1000hp add 25+psi and you start to ride a fine line you know all too well.

I shouldn't have to tell you this dave, you know, and have been in that posistion.
I just hate when you get hyped for a build or outing and you run into problems the first time out and have to re-do the set-up. I ran into the same problem my first time out this year, it happens though. Live and learn.

Good luck man hope to see all you guys at the Shootout this year too.

I just want to give a shot out to Fraser and the guys over at AES! These guys are TOP notch! we have dealt with a lot of companies over the years getting our cars built, but never had a better experience then with AES they got the motor done for our deadline and helped us every step of the way. I will NEVER go anywhere else to get my motor build. Thanks again guys!!
