Should be killer! Lots of meat before the first ring. Did AES pin the factory main caps or did you go with steel aftermarket main caps?

Yes lots of meat.. We did a min bore and very thick pistons. No we didn't pin the mains. Only time you really have walk is with dentonation.

I don't agree with this. There is a reason Shawn @ Va. speed suggests pinning the mains above 800rwhp.

Looks like its going to be a freaking bullet, and a hell of a car, but a Powerglide in True Street? Hopefully it works out for you, just watch out for that black WS6, I've heard that things pretty slow, err...fast

I plan on running my car at the LSX shootout. Not sure what class I am going to run in yet though...hopefully I'll be in the 9's by then.

glad you're an expert in this

my first turbo motor made 1200 rwhp, no detonation and severely walked the mains

Sounds like you're going to have a nice combo but I'm with Fireball on this one. Pinning the mains is relatively cheap insurance in comparison to having bad news bears down the line. But at the end of the day it's your money. Either way I wish you the best of luck and look forward to seeing the results.
