Default Post your PUMP E-85 boost combo

Not interested in what it makes on 91/92/93 octane pump gas.
Not interested in what it makes on race fuel.
PUMP E-85 ONLY.

PUMP E-85 combos ONLY.
Let us know your:
CID
Heads
Cam
Intake
Turbo, Twin Turbo or Blower
Intercooled or Non-Intercooled (air/air or air/water)
Tuning software or Aftermarket EFI
HP/ TQ if known and e.t. and MPH
Fuel pump and fuel line sizes (if not using stock fuel lines)

I want to run the stuff in my new build and would like to know what people are running and getting away with while using the PUMP GRADE E-85. No race blends, no race brand E-85. Only pump E-85 from the gas station. If there are any special circumstances regarding the blender at your gas station please explain them. Thanks

I realize Ive repeated myself about the fuel a number of times but I want to make sure that we only get those who are running the pump grade ethanol and not the race blended stuff.

that's a strong setup. how's the spool with the 1.32? i'm sure e85 helps it. what kind of timing are you at? how did you decide on that cam? seems kind of small in comparison to similar builds. i'm setting up a lq4 longblock on e85, blowthru through. that's why i ask

thanks,
mike

had it from a previous NA ls1 build, and it sounded great with good driveability. It doesnt look that big but the advertised duration is the same as most cams in the 230-235@.05 and nice soft ramps, was easy on valvetrain with no sewing machine noise.

If you are doing blowthrough just run the stock motor with a cam, its more than enough for 650whp. The 1.32 was pretty laggy but with such low backpressure I would do it again with a spool valve. I blocked off half the housing one day to see how a spool valve setup would work and it was almost undrivable.

Is the 360 HP a misprint? 3200lbs + 360whp generally doesn't equate to 107 mph in the eighth.

This is an awesome thread!! Keep them coming!! Also OP you should list if people are running stock fuel lines. Lots of people are interested in the limitations of the stock fuel lines .. Just a thought!

Done. I added a fuel pump line and fuel line size criteria for those not using the factory lines. This thread is not limited to cars that were originally equipped with LS based engines. If you have an LS powered Mustang, Chevelle, Nova. Whatever. You run pump corn, post it up.

360hp at 5200 is not a misprint. the holley efi had a problem where it would cut out everytime at 5200 so that is the highest it ever went and the most I ever saw on the dyno. holley has since fixed the problem.

the engine doesnt make peak power till probably 72-7300 rpms.

btw,Im running an aeromotive a1000 pump, aeromotive reg, edelbrock rails, and -10 AN pushlok lines

Nice! I would love to see how it runs with some compression.

Me too but ultimately I think the turbo being done is the biggest factor along with my already through the roof hotside backpressure. I just don't think there is much to be gained on my particular setup with moving to a higher compression ratio, plus I'm lazy and that would require work and the car runs well enough for what I've done it it. LOL

Serious setups guys. Is it safe to assume that there is a big enough tuning window with the pump E-85 that you can get pretty aggressive with the tune ups in your street cars and not worry about the inconsistencies in ethanol content of the fuel? I ask because Ive read that it varies from as low as 70 percent to the upper 80's in the pump stuff.
