I have a speed inc alt bracket and a cs130 alt from advanced auto. The belt is walking off the crank. Stock crank pulley never even been removed. I clearanced the back of the alt to make sure the head wasn't pushing it out. I even sanded off the powder coat on the back of the relocation bracket to make sure it was in as far as possible. I am stumped please give any ideas!! Thanks.

If you are still running PS I would look at how the belt tracks coming off the PS pump to the crank pulley.
Is this the only thing you changed?
Have you ever removed the PS pulley?

Didn't fix the problem. I am going to call speed inc. To see if they can help. I have bought all the belts in town, 4 of them at 25$ a POP is getting old. Any input would be helpful.

Mine did the same thing until I shimmed it out. Put a long level(or any long straight piece of metal that you have) either on the face of the alternator pulley or the face of the balancer and measure the distance from the level to the first grove in both pullies(or 2nd i my case the first grove on the alternator pully was too far out to use). I would have to shorten the supplied shims to use the front groove on the pully but then you have even more of an issue with the alternator being too close to the head. I already had to grind the back of the alternator case, so I didn't want to go that route. I stacked feeler gauges to do the measurement, helps to have a friend hold the level while you measure or use a clamp to clamp it on.
I ended up stacking two thin washers (about .080) behind each the supplied spacers for the alternator to get mine lined up correctly. I use a 5 groove belt and don't use the front grove on the alternator pulley. That was how I got mine to line up...but I have an ATI balancer, elelbrock water pump and no other accessories so my setup is completely different than yours. Once I did that the belt stayed on perfect.

It comes off going from p/s to crank. I noticed the p/s pulley moves in and out 1/8 inch or so. Seems normal? I have the black powder coated version and I have seen other posts with people having problems. I will called speed inc tomorrow
