Default first time to the track, surprised myself!

finally got to the track to see what the car was actually putting down, albeit was a bit more than i was suspecting..... all i went there wanting was a 9.99

all runs where on just a hair more than spring pressure at 12.5psi boost, and raceweight of ~2950lbs

Just want to thank Richard at WCCH, these heads are making some great power with my cam for the mild amount of boost!

also there was no reason to add in any more boost since i was out of gear, i was on the limiter before the end

26x9 hoosier slicks

no transbrake, just rolling out on the footbrake

here was my best pass, slip and video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grLEg...ature=youtu.be

and another from the previous night

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTM_BYK4RaE

car has a dmh electric cutout to the front fender if you are wondering

this setup

Impressive. Does the front end get lite at the top end? I ask because of the wheel well cut outs.

Wow that thing is hauling, I guess only weighing 2950 helps a lot. Hell if I could lose 1100 pounds I'd be right behind you! Good runs...

That mph is knocking on the door of high 8's.

My buddies from the track have been telling me the way I'm going I'll weigh 3300lbs. and have a PG in it before next season.

If these are the results from doing that then looks like I know what I'll be doing this winter!

That thing is hauling *** for sure though. What rpm are you leaving the line at, and how much boost off the line? How much boost down the track?

funny you are not the only one that has asked that, but no i haven't noticed anything at higher speeds

i just got rid of them because i didn't dig the look with all the OE stamped mounting positions and such on the fender, and i didn't want to go through all the work of smoothing them

21* is where i am at right now on 12-13psi, i could probably push it more but the combo runs strong right there, atleast my butt dyno

yeah it is light, but not an extreme lightweight....... should be watching though, there are a handful of crazy single and twin LSX rx7's in the works right now, they will all be crazy

yeah man, i am gonna regear the car to either a 3.08 or 2.73 and hopefully go back later this fall, may put a chute on it and some other stuff, dont know though

only legal to 10.0 and 135 right now, haha

I do love the powerglide on this light setup though, absoluetly love it, especially on the street and around town

i was on the footbrake for those, around 1psi...... i don't know the RPM though, sorry

Ill add some other stuff so people know the combo

370 iron, 10:1 static CR
232/242 - 113lsa..... .540 lift cam
WCCH ported LSA heads, double springs
stock L76 intake, PTM 90MM TB
ID 1000 injectors, magnafuel pump and reg.
1.76 powerglide with PTC converter and brake
built 8.8 rear with 3.23 gears
gts78 turbo (love this thing)
ebay IC

here is a pic from the one launch, i like it

and here is vid where we were trying to get the 17" radials to bite by trying the brake.... this is 8psi of the Tbrake

did end up getting a 9.9 on those 17" 275 radials at a street legal event... so i was happy about that
