Question Autolite AR3911 plugs and 15psi+. Anyone using these?

I tried a few plug searches and after reading a few post here I thought these were a good plug for higher boost applications. I know NGKs are the popular stuff but the plugs I wanted are not available unless I special order.

Anyways... is anyone real familiar with this plug?

Thanks in advance.

Really? Do you have any experience running Autolites?

Yeah... I have no issues running a Autolite or a NGK... I was just curious if anyone has used the 3911s with bigger boost.

I use the 3911 at moderate power levels, it has a projected tip. For higher power stuff the 3933 type plug will serve you better.

They were in another boosted project of mine. They suck man. They foul way easy and don't last long....cheap!!!! I just don't like the quality. But that's my opinion.

Really ? I had the the Autolites 3933's in my car and it was breakin up real bad at 11 psi (on its way to 22psi),, .015 gap,, put the ngk 9s(.025) and it was fine ,, was my gap too small ?

I have a set of 3911s in my garage... but I ended up ordering a set of NGK BR7EF plugs. Im going to be running a minimum of 15psi.... so Ill give my 3911s to my buddy that has a higher CR NA motor.

NGK 8's or 9's are what I run. No problems with over 20psi with .028 gap.

Are you using the BR's or BPR's? I love the recessed plug tip style.

I normally run .025 on the 3911, never tried them that tight. I have used the 3911 at 1900hp, but normally switch around 1500hp to the retracted tip. The extended tip should stay cleaner but could be more likely to glow/overheat in the high power engines. The NGK stuff has always worked well for me, but the plating makes them hard to read. I use a hotter version of the 3911 in my daily driver because I wanted resistor plugs, they seem to only last around 10,000 miles before I notice the idle surging.
