The billet 82 flows 126lbs/min with the large 96mm turbine wheel. The 87mm turbine wheel limits the turbo down to ~115lbs/min.

Sounds like they need to find a new dyno. No dis-respect, but we sell the same turbo since it comes direct from BW. That turbo supports around 115lbs/min MAX with the 87mm turbine wheel. The comp map BW uses is based on the larger 96mm turbine wheel and 1.32A/R housing coupled with that wheel. And to make 1200rwhp you would need about 145lbs/min of air and ~69lbs/min of turbine flow, which the BEST 87mm turbine wheel is done at 45-47lbs/min . A GT55-91 is hanging its tongue out at that lbs/min on that big of a motor. Adverting can not cheat physics.

The 92mm turbine wheel can support the power as it flows ~60lbs/min. Which will support right at 130lbs/min of compressor wheel flow.

Jose do you have any flow charts for the different wheels. That would be great

Thanks

Sure do....but they are the proprietary maps from BW. So they can not be publicly posted. Give us a shout, we can get you all the info you want as far as flow, PR, S-rpms and Eff% of the wheels.

Here is the billet 82mm public map. Keep in mind that comp wheel flow is WITH the larger 96mm 1.32A/R combo. That comp wheel was originally a KKK part #.

Map is attached.... That is .952 kg/s of flow or 126lbs/min. Or about 1260hp crank WITH the big turbine wheel. The smaller 87mm tuibine wheel limits the flow to about 115lbs/min

I guess Seth said this is a new turbine wheel. Any info on this. I've been doing alot of reading on turbos. Just trying to learn as much as I can

Flows about ~1-2lbs more then the 783 turbine. We have the new 87 turbine available.....they are slightly different radius and taller tip height from what I remember. Hub thickness is still the same. Great turbine wheel, but no where near big enough to support 1200rwhp. 1000rwhp is a stretch on a V8 with a true dyno.

Good to know thanks for the info on its power output. Now how do you feel about how fast it will spool on a 402?

If I understand correctly it takes a 92-94mm turbine wheel to get the full benefit of a 82-83mm billet comp wheel in this series of turbo?

Yes sir it does. The 83mm flows ~130lbs/min.

If your looking for those kind of numbers I would talk to FI about the GT91 they build.

Yes 9's can be done. You will run out of turbine side will be your limitation. LS heads just flow a ton of air and the turbines are the ones that are limiting most setups. The new GT91 with the new optional 97mm turbine wheel from testing picked up 75rwhp on a customers setup with nothing else changed. This was at the same boost levels too.

A GT91 with a 97mm turbine, I wish you guys made this in a divided housing,

Then check the S91. The BW based unit uses the same basic setup. 91mm wheel with 96mm turbine wheel and 1.32A/R divided housing.
