Default What kind of sealer for turbo exhaust flange?

My brothers turbo cobra needs a new bolt and has lost its seal at the t4 flange that meets the headers. What is the BEST liquid gasket to use there? Or better yet t4 gasket? Thanks

not a prob man, tell him not use a huge amount, just a nice bead around the flange, allow it ample time to set up, he wouldnt want a goop of that stuff going through his turbine. EEK, lol

On this topic. I was just told to only use a bead of High Temp copper silicone. That is what I used but NOT with any gasket. I used about a 1/4 bead and when I tightened it down it smashed out pretty good. Should I have used a T4 steel gasket? Shoot didn't know they even made them...

Always used the multilayer steel gaskets with a little copper spray.

If the flanges are flat, then no gasket or sealant is needed.

And if the flanges are not flat, make them flat !
