Default CX racing turbo blankets anyone?

Like the title says, anyone have any experience with these and how well they work? I have an intercooler pipe running above my turbo and would like to keep the temps down. I've read the other threads about turbo blankets but the only one that seems to get any reviews is the forcedinductions one. In all honesty, they all seem very similiar quality to me so I just wanted to know if any of you had some first hand experience.

I'm going to chime in and say type in turbo blanket on ebay and find the one for $48. Those are made from the same material we use on our engines out here on ships. This material is tough and does a great job of containing heat. We run these engines for days straight and at any point you can climb on the engine frame and check things on the motor all the while rubbing against the exhaust manifolds and turbo. Never get burned or hot.
This is the type I'll get for mine

Thanks for the reply. Thats also good to know on the blankets! Like I said before, they all seem very similiar to me and there is such a large price difference. I've seen them for around $50 like you mentioned, and then I've also seen them as high as $200. It's not like CX racing is a no name company, and lots of guys have had excellent luck with thier intercoolers and other parts.

Hey A4LS2goat,

What size is your turbo, and what A/R is the exhaust housing? Just trying to get an idea of how the fit on one of those blankets is. I heard the springs they come with suck too. Yours seem to be doing ok though!
