Default Turbo header

Im looking at fabing up my own headers based on something akin to the Stainless works up and forwards. Basically I just threw together the model you can view as a 3d pdf all the radius are standard nominal sizes that jegs has available. First off it doesn't have a flange on it or anything like that yet. Im mostly looking for input if it makes sense as far as the bends. I also know jack and $h!t and jack left town about header design for a turbo build. Should I make the tubes equal length instead of their current layout?

Important facts this will be going into a 3rd gen with an ls swap I have no idea as to what ls yet but I'm kinda leaning towards a single turbo setup on a 5.3 for kicks.

I'll probably draw the rest up next week, but I believe I will end up with a 2.5" cross over running a 7868 tubnetics unit. Either tial or JGS blow off and waste gates.

Lol its nice, n ive built quite a few now but ditch jegs n a rough drawing is pleanty. Id suggest Columbia river mandrel n ofcourse stainless. If ur hellbent or wanna us mild steel shoot me a pm I have a few sets of flanges and a few mild 180 u bends left...them headers with the 2.5in crossover is perfect, sounds like ur on track

I just used what they had for CL radius I've found a couple of places on line that I can buy stainless from and will probably go that route. How heavy of gauge are people running on turbo headers?

I've been reading online (rice rocket site) that just like a normal long tube I should make them as equal in length as possible? Does anyone have any input on that? I know I could make a model that would allow for it but the header would look like the flying spaghetti monster.

Also side note the model is based on 2" diameter pipe, I felt that it would allow me to run some pretty have gauge stuff and still end up with 1 7/8 I.D. is that acceptable? Also the pipes are set up for a 1/2" flange I would assume the thickest flange you could buy would be best with the heat they are going to be taking. Should I stress relief the flanges when I buy then an put expansion join cuts in them?

Would this be an acceptable arrangement. It's probably overkill on the cross over as its 3.5 O.D. The goofy red and blue parts you see are based off the print from Turbonetics 7868 turbo just for reference.

Kinda figured that I just got lazy laying it out. My question would be with a setup laid out like this would it be advantageous to run the t4 flange that has a separator in the middle? Seems like you would get a ton of turbulence when the exhaust from the two banks collide at the merge point. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing I guess.
