That's a slick unit. Is the sale still on where you can get the controller and a harness for $515? Too bad I'm not ready yet... Maybe I'd go that way even though I'm a devoted MS'er.

Yes, but when you have a Micro controlling the transmission also, you can get boost by gear, or boost by speed, or boost/nos from launch, because the transmission controller is now sending that information to the Fuel/Spark ecm that is controlling boost. Then, the next step is if you get an AIM dash all of that stuff can be displayed from the can bus wiring, Speed, Boost, MPH, RPM, AFR, or almost anything the squirt monitors.

The can bus stuff is prety cool, and very powerful.

So, it costs less, and besides getting transmission control there is extra stuff you can only get when running a Microsquirt on the transmission, and a Megasquirt variant on the engine(MS2,MS3,Microsquirt,MS3pro)

My Twin turbo nova has been running a Microsquirt on the transmission for over 3 years now.

That is really cool! Boost by gear would be very nice. You are pretty much limited to an aftermarket controller for that or a high end ecu. Nice to know micro could do it. Is the programming already developed for that with micro squirt or is it something that someone would have to figure out/write?

Matt I checked out some of your videos on utube, They are helpful and entertaining. I like the one showing the rings and the broken pistons, It shows what I have been telling guys about ring gaps. Now I do have one question.

Dude..... are you running around that garage without any damn shoes on??? Lol

Denmah I have a Mercury Zephyr Wagon. I bought a 91 GT 8.8 3.73 gear Posi rear end. Will it fit right in? What gear ya running? Forgive me . I didn't read 85 Pages lol

Should I get a 5.3 or 6.0? Does the truck Alt/PS brackets work? Did you use the truck oil pan? 4Lug Wheels?

i replied to your pm, but yes, 8.8 out of a mustang will bolt right in

throw 28spline alloy usa axles in it from summit for like 220-250 dollars

im running a 3.55 now, i used to have a 2.73

i would get whatever motor is cost effective, since you can make basically the same power with them all.

truck alt bracket will not fit under the hood, you can get a C5 corvette alt bracket and power steering pump and space them out a little bit to fit the truck water pump and tensioner and then you are good.

i have the car out with the new cam and retuning on pumpgas instead of e85, im on 11psi about right now.

seems to work pretty good, we will see what the dyno says then.

the footbrake into the anti lag is amazing, ill get a video of that,

i can foot brake it into the anti lag and it will sit still and not push at all and make 8psi of boost, car should leave like an animal

i have the settings really nice so it doesnt pop or beat up the turbo at all, it just sits and stutters at 2700 and 8psi lol

So can you say for 100% sure that it's stronger with the new cam and builds boost quicker than the LS9 cam?

it does seem more lively than the ls9, can you explain that, is it the LSA helping?

it is running less boost, 11psi vs the 15 or so i would hit with the LS9 cam...

is that the longer intake duration or the shorter LSA affecting that, nothing else has changed with the setup.

ill have it on the dyno soon, this car would do 600whp on 20lbs pretty regularly before. cant remember what it did on 10 and 15lbs been a while i think low 500s on 15psi
