I was right behind the Evo at the track with Murder Nova and the Black Elco from OK. It's clearly not an 8 sec car.

The evo runs 9.50's and mine runs 8.80's... He missed a gear and I beat him by 3 cars. It all equals out.

He also launched like **** too.

If y'all say he's not an 8 sec car then so be it. I'll believe 3 street racers over 100 bystanders anyday, but you best believe if he ties up with any car in my camp I'm not going to treat him like a 9.50 car.

yeah he broke a 28 spline axle finally, car was cutting high 1.5x 60fts and yanking tire!

he rebuilt it with 33 splines, 9 inch end housings, c clip eliminator and a spool

he will have it out soon again

his best pass was a 10.05 i think at 139 on 15 or so psi of boost

Yeah, it has a new 33 spline setup with a spool and new shocks and struts and new Lakewood lift bars. I need to pull the motor and swap the #5 piston out as I am pretty sure that it has a cracked ring land or two. Still hauling *** though, and I plan on racing it these weekend as is. Will be getting ported heads at the same time.

That was on the old suspension. The struts were ORIGINAL to the car. Yeah, 4 banger struts from 1982, LOL. It would launch really hard, but the struts and springs were so weak that it would settle down very quickly and often unload the suspension and spin. For example, in that pic up there, it spun right after it pulled the fronts. It is much more solid now, but I am not sure how it will hook. We will see.

Hahaha... Nice... That's true SLOPPY STYLE right there! Glad you're happy with the new rear setup. Best of luck out there.

Hahaha... That was awesome.... you could see his stress level build as the boost builds. Loved the part where he waves him off... as if to say, "OKAY... that's enough... " Cool Dad! Great Memories being made. Sweet!

It has basically been cracked since the first weekend I have had it. I just figured it out. So, EVERY pass I have made in this car has been with one hole low on compression. So, I am going to rock it as is until I am ready to pull the motor.

He was tense, but he deserved it. I spent many hours in the passenger seat of his cars being scared. Of course, they weren't fast by the standard of the Fairmont...so I had my payback all at once. LOL.

Man, every video I've watched of the fairmont, I'm always in awe of how well the suspension/chassis works. I guess I still can't believe that awesome of a launch is with the stock suspension... AMAZING!

Haha nice. The situation is familiar with me my dad use to do the same **** to me when I was a kid use to scare the **** out of me. Took him for a ride in my old 3rd gen 408 camaro and was blowin the tires off at 70mph and he was scared shitless but the only thing he said was ok that's enough and said the car runs good lol. He has since had a pace maker put in so I don't think ill force him in to the turbo rustang I'm puttn together.
Seems like your gettn the car dialed in.

Those fox bodies work good. My Fairmont works better than twin turbo corvette. Going around curves is a different story. haha.
