Good choice. After using these manual brakes for a few years there is NO WAY I would put a hydroboost on the car. Great pedal feel and so simple.

Did u notice any fuel pressure drop on that 1.2 launch? I have been reading up on pumps and they say anything in 1.2 range u need to put cell in front of car.I am debating between fuel pumps.

Sorry forgot to reply back to ya. I took the belt drive off after the first track outing. Fuel pressure drop on the launch like guys talk about. Didn't have the funds for a cable drive at the time so I put the 4303 Magnafuel back on and have since added a Holley 12-1800. I'd like to put a belt pump back on it but it will be in the rear of the car.

Great accomplishment Nate.
Nice to be able to stand back and say "yep, I built that my own bad self and it flat works!"

We had a small drag weekend here in the pacific NW. I hope to run it next year.

Great job! Turbos have completely changed this hobby. It used to be impressive to drive a 10 second car 100 miles, now 8 second cars are driving 1000 miles!

Gotta love technology.

Hey man I was watching one of your YouTube videos and saw you had a pretty nice steering wheel, who makes it?

I just picked up a nova and it came with an ugly small diameter steering wheel. I want a big body style wheel back on it!

Well I tried something new this week. Operation weight loss was in effect as Im going to the track one more time before snow and I have always wanted to test out hood/fender exit exhaust. Loosing the hood, latch, hinges, and exhaust takes off 100lbs and gets the car down to 3200 without me but....after driving it around I put the exhaust back on. Sounded absolutely terrible. The new boost cam has mild overlap and it sounded like a dumptruck that snapped off the exhaust manifolds. Just couldn't do it lol.

Dam you Nova guys, your trying to make me go back, lol
I orig built my turbo 6.0 for my 71 Nova, bought a 65 Buick Special post car to cruise until the nova was finished-got about 80% done on the Nova and got the idea to put the 6.0 in it, and sold the Nova
With winter coming, was going to give the Buick a make over, but, if the right Nova (read right price) popped up, who knows, lol

HAHA should've taken an idle clip of it and posted it up

What do you run for a complete exhaust system?

It has 3.5 stainless duals back to the trans where it transitions to aluminum and Vibrant aluminum mufflers and ends at the axle.

New best yesterday 5.56 at 161. Closed off the front of the grille and bumper helped the mph nicely.

Had it turned up for pass number three and it launched like it never had before and broke something in the trans on the 1-2 shift. That's all for this year.

Thanks for the info Nate.

Good job on the new best! 161 mph out of a street car is just plain awesome.
