Funny you say that. Im considering putting one on FOR an autox event. We have an autox here that turns right into a 1/3 mile top speed run. Mostly imports that go 110. This year my friend and I show up and he smokes the 142mph record held by an Evo with a 156mph run in his TT GTO. He has 14" brakes. The shutdown is rediculously short with a creek bed ravine at the end. I went 142 and wussed out shutting down early. Since the car goes 150 in the 1/4 now Im pretty confident it would go 155 or more so but sure as heck not doing it without a chute.

This is a whole different level of awesome! lol I would definitely be interested in a video of said auto x, especially of you pulling the chute at the end of a 150+ run!

Forgive my ignorance but… on your forged 5.3, did you take it to the machine shop for anything or did you just slap in your new forged pistons and rods?

His pistons are oversize, so machine shop for sure.

Do you have any pictures of how the driver's side manifold fits with the power steering pump installed?
I read that you used the corvette pump/alt bracket. Did you have to change the pulley or anything else to use this setup?

I basically copied his setup to a point. I wanted the vette accessory brackets for room. These Novas are tight between the core support and the engine.
Before you mod the manifold, put the bracket, pump and pulley on the engine. The angle off the manifold needs to be pretty steep. I trimmed the bracket with a die grinder to add clearance, the steel LS 2 pulley is slightly smaller than the C5 pulley. And it's spoked so you can get at the bolts for the pump.
I started with a C5 ps/alt bracket but switched to the Holley bracket when I realized the Camaro alt doesn't fit the corvette bracket. I have the complete corvette bracket setup left over by the way.

This shows it pretty well.
About 1/2" clearance to the pulley.

Im pretty pumped about taking 100lbs off the front of the car with this build. The SC&C front suspension kit kicks *** and the car handles really well, even with 235's. I'll prob switch to 9" wide front wheels and 275's next year.[/QUOTE]

Can you give a link to your front suspension parts like A-frame, and front springs.
