this is a cool build, I've been looking at this one for inspiration into my next build. It's the same build to my second 71 MC, except this time I wanna stay efi. Been so busy though I may just buy a completely done engine from 3 wire harness to ecm. Only mods I'll have to do is maybe a cam and swap out the truck manifolds as i already know they don't work. The engine will be around 1500-2000 plus another 3 or 4 for shipping. Any thoughts?

Thanks! I'm glad you are inspired by anything I have done lol If you buy a complete harness I have heard good things about PSI although I have no personal experience with them. I would say a cam is a good investment on any LS, all of the stock cams leave a lot on the table. But they definitely need a tune if it's an aftermarket cam. Is that price for a 6.0? cause it seems a little high, at least compared to what I have found locally.

Small progress update
the box my welding buddy fabbed up for my fuse relay center
where I plan to mount it
So now I just need to cut out the openings for the fuse blocks and relays then start reworking my harness.
New bracket to replace stock hood latch piece.
Trying my hand at making the pillar look pretty lol. I really didn't like the bolted on look so trying to make it look like one piece with a little filler. We'll see how it turns out.

Me either! been doing a little more work on it and plan on priming and painting the pillar in the next couple days, will post more pics when it's done.
Also made a little progress on my fuse relay box, starting to look like something now.
Had a goody box show up at work yesterday too! All I can say is wow that's what I call fast shipping, ordered Thursday shows up Monday. Thanks MIGHTYMOUSE!

Haha I'm working on it man.
Thanks and yeah it's definitely tough to prioritize lol This crappy winter in our area has made it a little easier though, I just put my sled up for sale this morning so we'll see what happens.
Did you get the cam swapped and end up making your own a/c brackets like you had talked about for your Goat?

I was hoping you got around to installing the 80e into your car so I could take notes. The 60e in my car has some good hard parts in it, but I'm not very optimistic on it holding up once I get some sticky tires and a 150 hp squeeze next year.
