3.25+t56+28s= a bunch of lag.

I have 28s on a 370 and s480 with a th400 and it was slow to spool until i went to the 3.5

He also has a tilton clutch ($$$$$) that helps a ton. I mean most of us stick guys realize a slick is really the only way to consistantly launch a stick car, you need that spinning/hooking action along with a set of, at the very least, good rear shocks. A gear change is extremely cheap and easy, a 3.50 will put you in a very nice spot until you actually need that 160+ trap speed.

I know you are also kicking around the idea of an auto so i get why you are leaning to 3.25s.

Yeah ill never be using a tilton being im not dropping $6200 for a clutch lol. I think 99bluefbody uses a monster twin disk and is having good luck. Probably what ill have to go to is a twin disk to hold the power.

Few more mods and I could run with one on the highway lol.
Yup same here... little girl due in May. To tell you the truth, I love my Busa! Nothing beats riding that thing every day, rain or shine. mine has almost 180 at the wheel, and that is enough for me for now. i may put a different cam or something in it eventually, buy right now it is my daily driver for work and everything else. I usually only take the car out on weekends or evenings to minimize the chances of the idiots hitting me. And eventually i want my car to be able to roll a Busa on the street from a roll, and a lightly modded busa on the track. I will prob go the same route as you did.... getting the 475 maxed out then send it back in to get it upgraded to the latest and greatest, esp since I already have a built engine and 4L80E from Jake's

Yeah I've definitely had 650 dollars worth of fun from my unit. They told me 700 dollars would get me the 84mm latest and greatest as you say. Turbo capable of 1400+. So I'm ready for what the future holds and very excited to move up to 4digit power soon.

I seriously considered that. I think if I had not had an 8.8 already that would have been the route I would have gone.

Pictured is the Quick Performance Fabbed option Ford 9" housing and axle package. This includes lighter weight fabricated housing, separate back bracing pieces I had them throw in separate in case I wanted to weld them on, torque arm adaptor, bearings, 35 spline moser axles, 5/8 3" long drag studs with lock nuts and the spacers and lug nuts as well. Paid $1276 shipped for all.

What's the tab on the driver side of the housing for? I just got mine all assembled and it does not have that. I was thinking of making another brace for the side of the torque arm mount using a tab like that.

I'm not sure what that is for. I guess I'll figure it out whenever I install it. Lol

If you were to crash you could possibly have fuel everywhere inside the cabin. You should move it to the ttop well and get a bulkhead.
