Beating those 1500AWHP URG Gallardos

The only way I can see someone beating the lambos in a traction limited setup (rwd) is with massive weight savings and weight movement. Massive power well over what the lambos have. And a torque management system that active controls the engine torque in every gear to match what the rear tires can take.
So you would want as light as posable car with as much power as possible. Plus the killer traction control system. Then.....
You need this in a car with a low CD (corvette would be better than a f-body) and a killer manual / semi auto manual (air operated) gearbox. Throw in some anti lag and n2o for help in keeping the turbos spooled and you have a winnin setup.
For a little more added tech how about active aero (read fans) to help with the traction but keep drag down at higher speeds.

This isn't an overnight thing that the UGR cars jumped on the scene. I remember when they were doing awd to rwd conversions on them at the higher hp levels because they were having issues with something in the awd holding up. Obviously they engineered a fix for that just like being able to push the power up to 1600-1800rwhp. Add in custom gear sets, and it's clear that UGR clearly has their sites set on making the UGR TT cars unbeatable at this high speed game.
My only point was that sometimes when you try and adapt your game to play someone elses game, it might not work out. Sometimes you need to figure out what you're really good at, and focus on that. It seems that when it comes to roll racing and even mile events, the lambos are pretty spot on. What aero did they even do to their cars to run 250+? I honestly don't know, but I see what a lot of the other cars are trying to do to catch up and it makes you wonder how the tt gallardos are able to that with what looks like factory aero.

They found someone to make full billet transmissions and transfer cases to hold the power.
I don't think they do anything to the aero on the cars. It's just Lamborghini engineering. It's not like they are new to the supercar world. I'm sure they have aerodynamics down to a perfect science by this point, or pretty damn close to it.

At that point, you're past UGR TTG money and you've completely thrown the ability to daily the car out the window so again, the TTG is superior
I guess I was a little off on that price. Do you or anyone know the exact difference between the R and 2R builds? Why is it $140k more for ~250-400whp?

Just stumbled apon this video. Looks like the Lambo either has issues or gives up so it wouldn't look like he was getting freight trained

I think it's safe to say, that any car pulling in the region of 250mph....with any amount if reliability is going to be in the region of 250k to build, one way or another.
The only way it will be cheaper, is if you're doing huge amounts of the work yourself.
next question is....when will they hit 300mph in a mile ?

Traction is the number 1 issue when racing these cars. If it was just power to weight ratio, there would be PLENTY of cars whooping their ***, including Honda's... 700whp and 1500lbs would dominate everything but its not that simple. The Lambo's can put down just about every bit of the 1700awhp they produce
