What turbo/engine mods would you make to get there ?
Oh...And I love your car...Black Nova's rock...
Even more so when they are turbo'd and run like stink...
Makes me really miss my black 70.

Thanks! Yea the black is a PIA sometimes but It's worth it. Forged scat stock stroke crank, H beam Scat rods, and set of my forged 4032 Autotec pistons with billet 80mm and I think it will get there if I can get car on a good track. One of the major problems Im up against is they just don't prep the track out here. Makes it hell on a leaf/275 radial.

I honestly think you have close to a 7 in it now. Maybe not quite there, but you're forgetting that you're giving up some time in a few places. There was probably a flat 8.30 in it if you hadn't blown out an injector. Another tenth off of the 60' on the T-brake and a mild hook. Another tenth in removing some extra weight before you make a pass, such as the extra seats and stereo. There's 8.teens in it with a little bit of effort and a clean pass for sure.
I realize you want a built motor to hit 7s, but you should realize that at 8.39, you've given literally EVERY single person on this forum that can't afford a $5k shortblock, unlimited amounts of hope with their turbo build.
Try to be optimistic for us .
P.S., just giving you a hard time.

Thanks guys. Car is 3300 lbs full interior street car with stereo back seat etc. cam is my stg 2 truck cam 218, .570", 112 lsa. Boost was 23 psi, and 15 deg of timing. Engine is factory crank, pistons, and rods all GM tty bolts in lower end. Has been cleaned and dingle ball honed with new GM rings. Zero machine work on block and only a surface on heads. Heads have a mild port with stock valves.

Jarrett is a great guy and always willing to help. He is a king at making simple parts go fast. It's all in good decision making while combining parts. Most would chase the high rpm power to show peak numbers. But he is smart enough to know his car is heavy and working with stock parts. So he surrounds his build with parts that make hp and low end torque.
Simple bad a$$ car.
