From now on just give us updates on the the welds K THANKS. haha nah, this is pretty badass, cage work has always fascinated me if its worth it ofcourse and although its not the hardest thing to do on a racecar it is still a very hard and strenious project to undertake especially with a cage like that its in its league of its own, and i definetly agree with the change that was made with the vertical bars.

Anyways, back to my build! Please excuse the small amounts of rust that are starting to form. It's making the welds and tubing look rough, but once we get it all cleaned up and painted it will look awesome.

Mmm, money bars!
You know Martin, the more I think about it, the more I just want to wait and do something a little "bigger" if you catch my drift. I would really like to run our local 275 class, but you need to run 4.70s to be competitive...

It's a huge commitment in just money doing a build like that Chaunce not to mention upkeep, testing, finding time to constantly test, money to test, money to upkeep/upgrade and getting the car to races nationally that you're going to want to go to. I feel like at my level I can get away with not having a lot of the stuff that I feel is 100% needed to have a competitive X275 car.
X275 is where my car will end up one day with a GT5588 on it at 3200lbs after I am able to add the things I would like to have in the list I listed above. That is what it's being built for in the long run. For the next couple years though I'm going to learn as much as I can about the car in Ultra/Real Street.
Camarod that actually looks really nice. I may have to do mine that way since Matt is throwing me under the bus it seems.

How about you finish your car, run 5.20s, then sell it to me?

Nothing against either one of you guys.
Unless you're talking about me I suppose LOL!
The car was set-up very well around 600rwhp, let's just hope that with 1000rwhp it can be made to do the same.

Car is looking very good, can't wait to see the finished product! I'm sure it won't take you long to get it dialed in with all the newfound power lol
And I know I can always count on an update when I come back to this thread, it's great!
/\ Spam, posted same thing in two other threads I'm following.

Matt has started cutting my floor!!! Yikes! Guess I'm gonna be Fred Flinstone powered!
Here is where it exits under the car
Funny car hoop is almost done
Dash bar is in. Notice how Matt bent it to follow the contour of the firewall. No the bar is not crooked, I took the picture a little crooked. Woops!
More support for the funny car cage and halo. Again, bent to follow the roof and the contour of the t-top plastics
More floor pictures soon!
