Now it's time to get back out there to the track and show these guys that we haven't forgotten how to go fast ourselves.

Both. Mainly assembly lube though. Red line assembly lube and Manley Extreme Pressure Lube #4 is what is used 95% of the time.
Yes, yes he is.
Thanks Daryl!
Snapped a couple pictures this morning while Jonathan was checking thrust.
Sorry for the blurriness, camera did NOT want to focus or cooperate!

I feel like we haven't had a car of ours out there on the track kicking butt for a long time. Too long. I feel that people may of forgotten about us and what we have done in the LS community. Heck, Jonathan was one of the first to ever go 5's in the 1/8th on a stock bottom end cam only LS1 engine with nitrous years ago! He also did it with a 250 shot(.082 jet)! Only person to do it before him with nitrous was Justin Smith, and we all know how bad he is! We're getting back to our drag racing roots with my car, and Dean's car as well. It won't be long!

OK, I've got more pictures of the short block assembly. Jonathan has all the main caps in place and torqued to spec. 50 ft. lbs. on the outer bolts and 60 ft. lbs. on the inner bolts.

Chaunce, here you can see the Red Line assembly lube we use coating the wrist pin in this picture

Since Chaunce asked about oil and assembly lube, I've taken a few pictures of the normal lubes and oils we use to assemble an engine. You'll first see the Redline Assembly lube that we use on camshaft journals, wrist pins, crankshaft journals etc.

Here you will see the Manley Extreme Pressure Lube #3 we use on other various bolts and studs.

Soon! Very soon!
Don't remind me Steve, lol. I thought I was done spending money for a while on this thing.
NOPE! Had to order an ATI balancer and Moroso oil pan/pick up today. I'm really starting to feel the cost of this build even though I paid for more than half of my parts up front. I thought I had most of it priced out and figured, but I under shot by a good bit as we always tend to do.
I now know how our customers feel sometimes.
Ok, all the pistons and rods are in and we have a short block! I'll grab pictures of the entire assembled engine before I leave tonight, but here are some of the pistons going in.

Matt has been working on my motor plate today and getting it ready for the engine once my spring kit that Brian Tooley and I are "creating" gets here. It will be a "custom" spring kit with PAC springs and his retainers, locators and locks.

Motor plate is in the car as I type this, and I'll try and grab pictures of it as well before I leave along with the finished short block pictures.

Yay! I was mentioned in a post lol. Thanks for all of the detailed pics, it makes the wait worth while. When do you think head lifting will become an issue? Can I safely assume that the gate will be pinned shut?

If the motor makes the power I think it's capable of the block will be getting o-ringed over the winter and fitted for larger head studs along with the heads getting a receiver groove to accept the block's o-ring.
Ok, got final assembly pictures of the short block. Just waiting on my spring kit to put the engine together finally.
