I like the way it's so quiet under light revs. I don't mind if mine is loud under full power, but just cruising around I don't want the noise.

I remember my 70SS Chevelle with a 454 and Flowmaster 2.5" exhaust out the back. Between 2200 and 2500 rpm, (cruising speed of course) the drone would drive you crazy! I have dual 3" splitting my 5" going back now, but I went with Pypes Race-flo mufflers so hopefully no drone.

I use 3" exhaust and dont think its loud at all. I do have tailpipes which made it very mellow as compared to turndowns.

Decided to splurge a bit and picked up this little display unit from Holley for 250.00. Does some basic tuning, you can configure 3 of your own personal screens, and there a bunch of other monitor screens. I'm going to use one of the 3 configurable screens as a shift light.

Hope to have some track times within a week or so!

3.5"....it seems to be the newest addition to their line-up. 250.00 is all I would spend on something like this anyway...good move on Holley's part b/c the other units are 700.00 and 800.00

Ever get any new times with the new ptc converter yet? Also, ever get a race weight on it?

See the "my car is a turd" thread lol.

Actually, 11.3psi and 10.9/129 and 11.0/132 is really not bad. Not sure on the weight, no scales around here. My best guess is 3600 with me in it consdering that's what most GT's weigh.

Jury is out on the converter....I think for what I do the 1000.00 converter may of been total overkill over the 450.00 job I was running.

I got one of the 3.5 screens when they first came out, I love the thing
It was actually cheaper than filling the interior with gauges-one small little
box and done-esp like setting up all the warnings, you can tell in an instant if something is wrong
I set my boost warning up so I could creep up on boost, make sure I wasn't over boosting

Forcd here's what you need to do to protect your motor using the Holley:

Cool idea-I know some guys use an area of the fuel map and flood it with fuel if it gets in a certain area you dont want it to go
same with the MAT

The thing is the spark-cut is MUCH faster than making the fuel map rich. I would rather make the max spark like 0*. The Holley system boost protection will shut the ignition of for 2 secs and come back. THAT will get your attention for sure.

Ya I saw that a lil while after I posted. My bad. Stick with it, takes time tune in new project that started from scratch.

Yes! Love the stock wheel look. It'll be interesting to see the contact patch though.

I ran 275 40 17 M/T D/R on an 8" wheel, and I had to air them down quite a bit to get them to work.

What did they charge to do that? It is an interesting option!

Weldcraft Wheels did it. pricey 200.00 a rim plus shipping. But priceless for the sleeper look I wanted to achieve.
