E85 fuel filter report
No reason to filter a return line that I'm aware of. You would just be adding restriction. Lots of people run them and it will probably be fine. But it's not ideal or "manufacturer suggested" That's why I hate to see people spend the money on more expensive filters that don't filter or flow as well at the ones I linked originally at the start of this post. Kinda depends on the type of build as well. On drag only stuff it's not as critical as a car you drive daily.

I found this on another forum:
"I just got off of the phone with Wix filters and they said that their 33900R filter which goes in a Fram HPG1 canister IS E85 , alcohol , methanol compatible because it is in their racing filters catagory. :biggrin: So get the Fram HPG1 filter housing , toss the Fram filter and replace it with a Wix 33900R and it will filter down to 5.9 microns @ 90gph @ 150psi.
$41.95 for the filter canister and $4.95 for the filter through Summit"
90gph wont take you too far though

After the high price tag on these ID injectors, I want better filtration that the "golden rod" provides. Someone mentioned the CAT filters...anyone have a part number?

Verdad Gallardo Look at the micro glass filters at the tractor supply. They advertise 2 micron nominal. Used on the same base as the goldenrod filter. If you want to overkill… Run a standard 595 goldenrod style first. Then the 2 micron second. Pretty typical for diesel stuff to have the staged filters. Just have to be careful with the flow rates of the smaller micron filters. Might need 2 in parallel.
