I think 13 degrees is pushing it for straight pump and 20 psi on 10:1 compression. I run 12 degrees on pump/meth (10:1 compression) 17ish pounds. I've leaned it out a few times but I think the low timing keeps it together.

Even on E85 I'm at 13 degrees @ 20-21lbs w/ 11.2 A/F. I know that's conservative by many peoples standards but I can hot lap the crap out of it and it doesn't show any signs of giving up smoke. It picked up a good bit going from 10 to 13 degrees, plugs looked good so I left it there.

You're the friggen' man, Matt!! Glad this build is making you smile!
I lost a motor one time on MS3 when I didn't have my AFR safety parameters set aggressively enough. Taught me a lesson about that. Lol

Right before it does damage! Lol. Not sure, probably look at datalogs of lean spikes like you've mentioned. That time frame is obviously ok. Go a little longer than that. Maybe a second or so. Seems like it'd be safe that way. Just me thinking out loud. I could be way off.

The behavior after the AFR safety cuts in is what I didn't have set aggressively enough one time when I lost a motor. I needed to have it cut until I let off the throttle to 20% and came down to 2,000RPM or something, and I didn't... So I stayed in the throttle while it went POP POP POP on the AFR safety, and then BANG! Lol I can't really explain what was going on in my head when I did that.

With the MS3 you have COMPLETE control of all of the parameters related to the AFR safety, so you can be as safe as you want. Usually I only had mine set to any sort of aggressive safety measures in boost, and it ramped up with the boost level.

What would your timing curve look like from 15-20psi? Ive got the same setup up and on 94 with meth Im at only 10 degrees at 19psi and a bit nervous to keep increasing it (made 672rwhp and 735rwtq) Still figuring it out
