Is the wheel speed sensor hooked to the Trans controller or the gold box and where are the settings located in the Trans software or the engine settings do you have to connect to each controller separate when making changes
Sorry for all the questions this is just really cool that this works so inexpensive when comparedto others will definitely be using this when I get a car would you be able to make this work with a non electronic trans

front wheel speed sensor is wired strait into the MS3 ecu
the driveshaft speed / tail shaft speed sensor on the 80e is wired into the microsquirt TCU and the information is shared over the canbus

you can connect to the ecu and change settings on the trans controller, the data will go down the canbus

you could attach wheel speed sensors to any part of the car, front and rear wheels, driveshaft etc, non electronic trans might not have many options but its easy to grab them off wheels, abs rings, studs etc

Love this project, been following your videos for little while now.

Was really excited to see the implementation of traction control since the ms3 uses the method of comparing front to rear speeds and calculating slip.

From your experience using the system, would it be possible to piggy back the ms3 to a factory ecu and use it solely for traction control purposes? Was going to buy a Racelogic unit until they stopped making them, wondering if this could be made to work the same for a similar (or lesser) cost.

well, you would have to have the ms3 piggy'd into the ignition so you could then retard or cut the ignition

Whats on this setup for PCV? Have you had any oiling issues with this build or others and what do you do to remedy it?

Hey Matt you ever mess with the MS Pro from DIYAutotune or just the gold box from EFI?

DIY just started offering the Pro with prefabbed LS harness for $1600 introductory pricing...but not sure its worth $300 more over the Gold.

I buy my MS kits and some other items from DIYAutotune and I am a big fan of them, but that gold box is a CRAZY good deal. If I wanted a pre-built, I think that is what I would do.

But we'll see what Matt says...

i just wish there was an easier way to implement this into a 4th gen and keep the stock gauges. I talked to efi source and they said I would have to run aftermarket canbus style gauges.

i have never used the ms3 pro, im sponsored by efi source for all the R&D i do, so i have no reason to buy the ms3 pro really

The denmah motto right there! lol

Seriously though, thanks for being so open source with everything you have done, I know it has really helped me and many others! I constantly reference your sloppy mechanics wiki page, tons of great info.
