That's awesome you made that much power through the catback. I'm curious how much you'll pick up opening the cutout.

My brother, 99pewterz71, and I trailered the car down to Victoria, TX for PatG to tune. He spent alot of time with us going over the car and really trying to dial it in. We started on WG spring and started working our way up.

It was about 95 degrees out and 60% humidity when we were making pulls. Pat also uses a Mustang dyno but he says its pretty accurate. I was also through Corsa exhaust with no cutout.

On 18psi the car made 747/773 at 5300 rpms! As you can imagine, I was SHOCKED! With all things considered, I was just hoping to break the 600rwhp mark. My injectors were at 95% duty cycle so it was best to dial it back some. We ended on 14.5psi and made 680/701 When it was on the dyno, the converter was locking instantly, but once out on the street it was operating as it should.

The car is an absolute beast when it gets into boost. Video coming soon!
Looks like we have very similar setups. What cam did he spec you, 224/224?

I have a gen 4 5.3 with 241's, pat g cam and T7575 as well. Mine made 705/745 @ 16lbs on his dyno back in may, wouldn't be surprised if you've seen the graph.

Pretty cool to see what mine would do through an 80e and a little more boost.

I just picked up some ID1300's for my car, ID1000s will be for sale soon. With boost weather just around the corner I figured I would play it safe.

Great build-what size exhaust did you use coming out of the turbo.
Sloppy mechs installed a Loud Valve in the exhaust on his Col. pickup, opens with boost, surprised it made such a huge diff

Not yet. Still pretty hot and humid in Houston, hopefully in the next month or so.

Thanks!

3" through my K-member. I still need to look into doing a cutout.

Didn't feel like going through your whole thread again so forgive me lol but did you have any issues fitting the driver side header around the hard brake lines running to the abs block? I bent mine as far away as I could and wrapped it and still burned through the hard line 😠

There is a plenty of room to move those out of the way for proper clearance. If you burned through a hard line my best guess was it was resting on the exhaust, need to gain a gap there which we have never had an issue doing. Shoot me an email, some photos, etc and I would be happy to assist you! Always willing to help customers!

Pretty sure he just posted that he DID move the brake lines, so obviously there wasn't enough room.

You definitely have to bend them out of the way but it's not a big deal. There's no way to burn through a line without them sitting on the actual manifold. Even a slight air gap would prevent that from happening much less wrapping them. It's easy to miss and then let them sit there for a bit and then when you try to rebend them after they've sat there for a while they crack. Hard to see in the pictures, but I bent mine and they all have at least a finger widths gap and I haven't had a problem with them at all. The pictures make them look much closer than they actually are.

Is boiling brake fluid a concern given the close proximity even if it doesn't touch?
