I think it's finally read for an injector swap and do some tuning

Glad to see it's all sorted out!

I'm sorry I prefer a single AN to freaking 1/8 NPT that took 4 adapters from Home Depot to make it work!!!!

Good looking unit. Your speed with this project is to be admired, seems you got all of this done within just a couple of weeks.

Would have literally been 3 days if it wasn't for the freaking oil leak I had to track down I guess in comparison it's not really a big deal to some setups that take forever to get together. @Mavn puts us to shame with his build durations so I had to step it up

Is it even really a build unless it is sponsored by home depot?

We are making boost! Only 5 psi but you can see I'm close to maxing the lb/min of the MAF with another 1000 rpms to go and hopefully another 5-8 psi. Time to scale the tune. On a 2 gear pull my IAT's didn't increase a single degree.....lmao rear mount + FMIC = cold air.

I did run into an issue I'll have to work through. The oil return to the valve cover is in close proximity to the oil fill cap which was updated with a large breather filter. After the pull I noticed smoke, popped the hood, saw oil all around the breather. I *THINK* the oil is getting pushed into the valve cover while the breather is trying to vent the crankcase pressures under boost and oil is getting pushed up into the breather and out. I assume I'll either have to move the return fitting or put some kind of baffle to prevent the oil from getting pushed up and out the breather.

Are you feeding it into the back pcv nipple or is it an an fitting welded into the cover? I believe I have heard of this issue before forums. Same thing we talked about before because you now pressurizing the oil coming into the valve cover and its spraying all over the place. I think you're on the right track. Maybe a tapped timing cover is a better option?

No PCV just breathers on both valve covers and the LS6 valley cover vent to the PS valve cover. The fitting on the valve cover isn't welded, just drilled and tapped. I'm guessing welding it and putting a baffle on the breather will solve this one, but will have to try it to find out.

I'm a big fan of sealed catch cans routed back to the intake on boosted setups. Helps keep those combustion gasses out of the oil, pressure out of crankcase, and the engine bay dry.

How will a sealed catch can routed to the intake vent pressure under boost? All the ones I've seen require check valves so the intake boost doesn't go back into the crankcase. I prefer vented setups on pretty much anything. I change the oil in everything really often and this is the first time I've had oil come out a breather. Hindsight would have told me this would happen given the setup lol. Some tweaks and it should be fine.

By intake I meant turbo inlet instead of intake manifold or anything else that sees boost. That way when the turbo builds boost it pulls air from the valve cover. More boost, more suck, more ventilation.

People do it sealed and vented and have success both ways. I've just had problems with oil spray like your getting on vented setups so I tend to lean towards sealed. Haven't tried VC baffles though, that might work too.

Ah, yeah tough to do it to the turbo inlet on a rear mount I ran a front mount turbo setup for years with vented stuff only and never had issues. I really think its because of the close proximity of the oil return fitting to the breather. We shall see

Nice! Delete the MAF, beats scaling the tune to me.

I hate doing VE tables.....and on a 98 you have to do the backup VE. I have a sticky on scaling a tune. Done it so much it's easy peasy.
