I went with a mishimoto unit from summit. rated for 1250 cfm I believe. 3" is all I can run with a stock hood latch. looked at all the universal units and the one I bought was rated at better flow than the other cheaper coolers. we'll see.

Here’s what I had to trim.

Trim top of the grill to follow the contour of the upper tank and cold side tube.

Knock out the bottom rows of vertical bars on the grill
Had I moved it down, I could’ve used the factory latch, but I didn’t want it hanging down too low. Also a small area of the lower right side of the core support was cut back. That allowed the cold side tube from the turbo to stay tucked up real tight also.

got my intercooler and radiator in today. both look very nicely built. I did also get my rear disc brakes installed over the weekend and started the long process of building the wire harness

nice. I have 2 450's and thinking about stepping down to a single hellcat pump at my power level

i'm new to the onboard boost controller. do you use air/co2 or compressor side pressure to operate your gates?

I have always used boost and a manual controller and let it build as fast as it can. but I found that with the devided 2 1/4 hotside with the t6 1.32 it will get to 20 psi in less than a second if leaving with a 2 step. and now with my 2.48 first gear in a 400 turbo it might be to fast to hook. this one im going to start off manual and low boost but set it up for boost control using the gold box. going to keep it super simple to start just a good tune and 10# and get it running good like that then start adding stuff. and turning it up of course. my last nova ran 9.01 at 150 on 18 lbs boost and I want this one to run that number on less boost. it should as I have upgraded every part as I go. but the blue car ran very well.lol

yeah the last car moved out pretty dang good.

I am really impressed with the holley PID boost control, I would think the MS3 could be configured almost identically.

it's so cool to enter 15psi into a chart and have the car actually make 15psi

Great pics. Curious if that intercooler will stand the temps. Usually the bigger 3.5" ones are rated at higher hp. Seems to fit pretty good! No mods to hood latch.
