New project
goal is a 9 second driver that shifts itself. I have a good 400th and converter.
picked up a L33 to use . Going to gap rings and use a truck style cam for more torque out of boost and faster spooling. I’m thinking of sticking to a t4 turbo as well but not sure just yet .
needs to spool good without trans break

good trans and billet converter
stock L33 with a Texas speed smallish cam and a 78/75 turbo to start with. Going to see how far I can push this stuff and just have fun with it. Should go 9s fairly easy with no trans break . I hope
Going to start with this smallish torque cam to help spool without a trans break . And I’m starting with this little cheezy on3 7875 turbo I got from a buddy. Although he went 9.teens with it at 147 mph on a 5.3. Maxed out in a second gen Camaro.
not sure about the China turbo log manifold but I’m going to clean it up with a burr and try it out .
it took me a while to clean up the ports on the manifold with all the casting flash and it did weld pretty good . Very thick casting so it should hold the turbo up fine .
its not ideal but I do think it will work as good as the turbo on my 5.3. But not as good as a devided t6 for ultimate power.
I like the 4L80e for a driver that shifts itself. You get the overdrive as a bonus and the same internals as the 400th. For me, track car =400th. Driver/track =4L80e.
