Default Single turbo guys, what size wastegate are you running

Just curious to see what size wastegate everyone is running. I am trying to gigure out if i should run a Tial 46mm or can get away with a Tial 44mm. I have a stock cube 6.0L and am running a Master Power gt-45, with around 6 to 7.5 psi to start out with. I wanna keep boost creep to a minimum. thanks

well if you want to keep boost creep to a minimum go with the bigger wastegate.

Stock cube LS1, TTI T-76 Street Kit, 10# boost, Crappy Deltagate

500 RWHP A4 VIGI 3200, Mustang Dyno

Time for a new Wastgate for me too, I think I will go with the Racegate. They rate it for 900hp and the configuration is comparable to what I have so no drastic changes.

I'm using twin 38mm TiALs on my setup & a 50mm Tial BOV. It's a 383 LT1 w/ two "bigger than average" turbos.

Always go too big rather than trying to skirt by w/ what's cheapest. Boost creep is tha devil!

The best gate for the money is the turbosmart progate. Flows almost as much as an HKS 60mm. Also the tials will need an upgraded valve if you are going to use race fuel.

Jose, with the Tial's, how much will they be effected if a blend of unleaded and leaded is used from time to time at the track (driving around with unleaded ALL the time on the street)? Thanks

As long as you don't constantly run leaded race fuel you should be okay. Every once in a while take the wastegate off and clean the crap of the valve shaft and valve. Once it sticks one time, you'll either lose a headgasket or piston. The supra that tests turbos for us, had his valve stick, pegged the boost gauge and a rod made a visit to the pavement without permission.....lol

I have a turbonetics NewGen gate on my mustang and it holds boost great. I have a tial 44mm v-band gate on my DD integra, and it also works nicely. The tial, IMO, is the best bang for the buck, I only payed 360 for it.

Oh my gosh. I never even though about that happening. That would be terrible. So every once in a while, take the WG off and clean the valves shaft and the surface of the valve itself? Will this do? I don't plan on ever running straight leaded through it. I will on occasion run a blend between the two when I switch programs on the F.A.S.T. to turn up the boost a little. I'll have some dyno #'s for you all early next week. It's not an LS1/LT1, but hopefully it does ok! Jose, thanks for the info...always appreciated.
