Which wastegates
Which wastegates So I have not ordered wastegates yet, but I have called a few places and got different stories about which wastgates I should get
right now its between the HKS "Race" wastegate, approx $900 each, or the TiAL 46MM wastegate, about $400 each.
Can anyone tell me cons of the TiAL wastegate? Or give me a good reason to spend a extra $1000 on wastegates and go with HKS RACE gates?

The HKS is a nice unit but overpriced. The Tial is a nice unit as well, but race fuel is not allowed with it unless you get the upgraded valve. For the money the best unit by far is a Turbosmart progate 48mm. Flows as much as a HKS race wastegate, costs around the same as a Tial version, and comes already with a 253MA valve which will handle race fuel and anything else you can throw at it.

We run 44mm tial gates on my wife's car, put race gas through them all the time. They're reasonably priced at around 700 for the pair, and hold boost very well. A pair of HKS GT gates is hugely overkill. Pro 5.0 cars making 2000+ horsepower run a single HKS GT gate.
The Tial's you can run race fuel through, but you need to check them regularly. I have had a few customers that have had them stick. Also the HKS units as well. The test supra that we used for testing turbos went down with a rod through the block thanks to a stuck HKS wastegate....ouch. We sell all the units and brands, so I'm not being biased, but a stuck wastegate can be an expensive mistake.

The Tial 35mm wastegate comes with a valve that is not meant for leaded gas and thus gets corroded and swells ( sticks closed/open). Tial has an option on the 35mm so you can get a hard chromed stem (comes std. on the 40[discontinued], 44 & 46mm) that is good for the leaded stuff.
