May want to recheck your AFR and such after the move. If it was on a much staighter section of pipe then putting it farther upstream and between 2 sharp bends may have skewed the reading s a bit. At least this is how I thought it worked.

Clean work though

F8L Z71 - I have not had it tuned yet, this is one of the things I wanted to do B4 I got it Dynoed! AS for the Bends STS had it Right after that bend by the BOV. I spoke with the tuner and he advised me on how I should "clock" the MAF for best performance! Thanks for the Comp!

PurEvl - I know! You were My Inspiration! I did it a Little different and wanted to show folks that this was an Option also.

Ponyhntr - Like I said, Right after the Bend where the Pipe comes UP past the BOV. You can see where I wielded a 2nd Piece of Pipe to the First one. The Wield is where The Maf was. It’s now actual in almost the exact spot it was when it was all stock!

Benefits - Better Responce and Truer Reading is what I was told?

Cool deal. I just didn't want to see you hurt anything if you didn't know about it.

Sounds like it was close to a bend already however it is my understanding that the straighter the plumbing is Pre-Maf the easier it will be to tune and the accuracy will be better.

Think of it this way: If you force something through a 90 degree upward bend, the force would keep it towards the top of the bend immediately following the bend then level out. The best MAF reading will be obtained by spreading the air as evenly as possible as it goes through the MAF, thus the longer the straight area after a bend the better.. But as you said there was a bend right before it before anyway so will probably be the same either way..

BTW Nice install...
