Default E Boost2 Guys...MM, Cablebandit.......

What's the final verdict? I've seen a few posts about EB2 overboosting..Is it a stable unit? I'm tired of my Apexi controller....fuzzy logic is unreliable and has convinced me to not trust it...it only works some of the time and I don't trust it...I'm going to change to something else and take a hammer to the Apexi.

Is EB2 The One?

TIA.

I have the original eboost and it will spike a bit when I hammer it on the street but I think I could improve it's response time by rerouting the lines a bit. Incons spool really quick... it's a damn fine controller and I expect the eboost 2 is even better.

i have had the eboost 1 since january 2003, it has never given me any trouble and works excellently today.

this is a little graph of 4th gear of a pass friday night

the boost is the second one from the top. the peak at the left end is 17.3psi, and the lowest point through there is 16.8

dont have an eb2, dont think i need one.

kp, ya got free dibs when I take if off for all the help you've given me. The only difficult thing is, you'll need a harness since this one is soldered in and I'll reuse it for the next controller...it's connected to the tps, vss, rpm, etc.

The unit works "ok" if you target a boost number and fix the solenoid number. I had it programmed for a boost curve vs rpm to ramp the boost in gradually and it quit working on mine and a couple of other cars that use it.

The sad part is the lack of intelligent support from Apexi...they kept asking ME programming questions and didn't know NE Point was an option or what FB did, etc,etc and I talked to 3 different "techs".

I've never had issues with the apexi avcr..have it on a few of my cars and love it. Most people just don't understand how to program it. If you want to sell it for some money let me know.

Programming boost vs duty is easy. Programming NE point is only sightly harder. Getting the unit to repeat NE point curves is a different story. It will do it for a few days , then default back to the gates by itself.

Did you program it to curve in the boost vs rpm vs gear?
