Yeah I want to go procharger really bad, running it at 7psi. nothing big but something to give me more bite and something under a 12sec 1/4 mile. I just need some major funding to really get all the nitty and gritty parts i would need.

Remember to budget for a new rotating assembly if things go wrong. One thing to build on the cheap by using the stock stuff, another thing to have to pull it all out and start over.

I found that out all too quickly.

13k for the car
12k currently for the turbo kit, suspension, clutch, exhaust, misc
6k minimum for forged engine parts and rearend yet to go!

used z06 - 30 to 35k - has me thinking a little bit if maybe went the wrong direction (until i get in the ss and nail the throttle)!

Knowing what I know now, I would have jumped straight to liter bikes. Cheaper and plenty fast in stock trim.

Yeah...... but the look on the Liter bike riders face when you rape him from a roll by 5 or more cars shutting down early is pricless.......

Dont take this the wrong way because we both know everyone cant do it

I know. There will always be someone faster even if you have a Formula 1 car. So I am with you.

For my new turbo setup I'm already at $12,300 dollars. Thats a LME 370 iron block and a Kentucky turbo kit. I was thinking the entire thing was going to cost around $12k and $13k. Which it could have, but it once I start looking at others setups and reading more there are little extras I wanna do which will bump up the price. I expect to spend at least another 5k before I even do the install. Things like chroming and coating parts, over the top fuel system, k-member w/ a-arms and general beautification of the thing is whats going to nickel and dime me to death.

But I assume it will worth all the over time and hard work to go have a super clean looking setup. This stuff is far from cheap if you really wanna push it and make a lot of power.

Update: Cost is now $14,500 after buying minor parts needed. See my build for parts list.
